How fast you rank with a new site?

Hey guys!

Just wonder how fast you rank with your new site (and competitive niche keywords)? Before I ranked with newly created niche site quite fast in less than 1 month, sometimes even in the first week. Using same principles now, I rank in two months, sometimes even later.

What are your experiences with Google nowadays?

It really depends on competition as well your web content. as in my experience I am telling you my website is based on YII technology. I submit in search engine. and verify with google webmaster and create a google analytics. I show the results after 10 days. My all keywords were Google first page.

so its depend on competition and your web content.

  With or without building links?
  
  Without links my sites hardly rank in the top 500 or on position 150 or something.
  
  With links I see improvements in the same week most of the time.

  I agree, its definitely slower than it used to be, even compared to last year. For a brand new domain, its taking me about 2 months. But I'm very conservative about my link velocity.
  
  When I take an expired domain and repurpose it, I see ranking in 3-4 weeks though. This technique is downright unfair.

  I purchased an expired domain, and managed to rank top 10 for a non-commercial keyword (searches about 1600/month though) literally overnight and with almost no content! That being said, if you're starting from scratch, with a reasonably non-competitive keyword, 1 month, give or take, is pretty reasonable.

If your website has low competitive keywords, then you may start ranking by just adding the title tag. Nirmally website will take 45 days to rank well in Google.

Brand new domain and for a very low competing keyword (only 500 sites competing) it took me about 3 weeks to rank on the first page. (not an EMD website btw) Tasks performed during that time- regular posting on my WP site and sharing that content on social sharing sites and writing more content with back links from web 2.0 properties.

Well, usually it depends on the condition, like on some keywords there is more competetion than that one is going to take sometime as ranking just not bounce in just one or two month, sometimes it require more than 8month, if everything is done in the correct manner.

I've noticed 45 days is usually the threshold for stable good rank increases, but can take even longer. I've also seen quicker jumps but you want to scale gradually vs blasting links all at once, or at least blast, then drip them in with social network signals for continuous gains.
