301 Redirect for SEO

Fellow Warriors,

If I already have a website with backlinks and I do a 301 redirect from another site, does it totally replace the backlinks I already have or does it add to the current backlinks?

      Whenever you place 301 redirect to your site it doesn't harm your backlinks.
      I am not satisfy with your answer, if your website is effects by bad backlinks and if you redirect your current website in new website with 301 redirection it will effects your new website, in 301 redirection 90-99% link juice passes to redirect domain... So its wrong that its not effected your website...

    I agree with all the comments above. The purpose of 301 is to transfer your old website links to your new site without affecting your backlinks

    301 redirect from another website won't replace your current website backlinks, actually it will add backlinks to your current backlinks. However make sure that new backlinks are relevant to current website, so that it add value to backlink profile instead of causing any harm.
