When a site/blog is already indexed, is there any need to ping my new posts?

And if you advise to ping new posts then please give the URLs to which I should ping my new posts

I don't see any need to. If your site is healthy and has decent authority in Google's eyes and has a sitemap.xml, it's going to get crawled automatically by Google anyways. Usually in relatively short time.

I try not to ping, unless its to my backlink sources. I can't imagine why Google would consider that to be a natural process.

There is no need to ping already indexed post, but even if your blog or site is indexed and you have added a new post, there is no harm in pining for those post only. I do this but for the blog posts only not for the web pages.

Generally pings are waste of time. Better focus on gain profile links.
