Hi everyone,

I'm entering in a new niche in Spanish (I'm from Spain) and I have found a good domain with partial keyword match, but it's brand new.

I've positioned other website that I have with no effort but it has PR2 and is 3 years old.

The problem is that I haven't found any better premium domain nor expiring domain available. I'm afraid it can take me too long to build some authority for the brand new domain and I'm not sure if it's the best decission for SEO purposes.

Should I go for it? and more important, How long will it take to get a PR1-2 and some domain authority for this new domain? (doing authorship, publishing great articles, good on-page and off-page SEO and all that)

I built a new site, the Home page is PRn/a, the domain is 1 week old (never registered). Currently sitting at position #52 for the main keyword with 3 backlinks that are less than a week old.

I built about 10 new links yesterday. I expect some movement within the next week, aiming for at least page #2 with this set of links. I'll wait a week or two, let things settle down & see where the main page is ranked, then decide on building more links.

When I rank pages I usually expect to work in small stages, build the page, throw some links at the page, let the page settle down in the SERPs, build more links, repeat until ranked & the page is holding position...

BTW, no EMD on this new domain, no PR on the money page (PRn/a), no articles (1 paragraph of plain text). This niche is also new for me.

Thanks for the advice, I guess you've done it before. It looks like a good method, I'll use that.
