Organic SEO traffic seems gold. Im getting into a VERY competitive industry(real estate). I suppose it would be best to focus on long tail keywords, my idea is to do many blog posts on the different communities in the area so it seems Im the expert in that area. These communities hve a low amount of searches, but total will bring in good traffic that will hopefully look at properties on my future websites IDX to catch their info after a preset amount of searches. Im kind of lost on how to do SEO nowadays after the recent google updates, I used to have a couple micro adsense sites and I basically ranked them(albeit slowly) by having the keyword in the domain and in the page titles and submitting articles.

For 2014 whats the best way to rank the various blog pages I have planned? Is there some formula or template I should follow as for the structure and amount of times I use the keywords in the posts?

For the keywords I got some ideas, I mostly want local traffic so Ill use things like "XYZ city best real estate agent"

Also, I read spammy links(scrapebox) no longer work
, I wish to outsource the link/citations/etc but am not 100% sure what packages I should buy to get my site juiced up to the first page fastest. Whats working? Social bookmarking, backlinks or something else?

What "formula" is best to use? Like for each page should I do
Page with geotargeted long keyword
10 manual social bookmarking posts
5 guestblog posts
5 article submissions........

THANKS!!

Seems as though you are wanting to target local traffic. Rather than just focus on ranking your page using SEO techniques which naturally will be one of your strategies focus on the many traffic sources available and build a quality back link structure. Here's some suggestions and have fun with it everyones formula for success is different:

    1. Create a face to camera video (3-5 minutes) of you talking about a real estate related matter - this is the pre-sell so keep it short e.g. how to effectively deal with real estate agents when buying your first home (keep it high level)
    2. Upload the video to Youtube placing a link back to your site (grab the embed code)
    3. create a blog post on your site and embed the video at he top of the page
    4. Now have someone transcribe the video for you and place the transcription below the video
    5. Place a call to action at the bottom of the blog post explaining to people how to contact you or get access to your services
    6. Repeat the above once per week for 5 - 10 weeks using different topics (Create a series of how to videos as people are always looking how to do something - go to dummies guide for some ideas
    7. BONUS - you can also strip out your voice and create a MP3 and upload to iTunes (again more links back to your site

You now have some content - which will have some keywords in it.

    Links
    1. Place the links to these blog posts on your social media sites - Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Linkedin

    2. Create a link ring i.e. spin your single blog post 10 times using Jonathan Leggers - the best spinner (go to fiver and have someone do this for you if its too much hassle) - manual re-writes are the best option.

Example of a basic link ring can be created as follows:
    1. create a hubpage and post one of your re written posts linking back to your site
    2. create a squidoo lens and link the post back to your site and hubpages
    3. create a wordpress.com or blogger.com post and link back to your site and squidoo lens

The above is only an example simply google how to create a link ring. There are also services on Fiverr that deliver such a structure as describe above.

Also as you are targeting local go to the directories and place a link to your site in each one. Also don't forget the power of word of mouth get the word out.

Ranking for local traffic is relatively simple provided you follow what you want not what someone else tells you to do because it works for them

    Anyhow hope this helps you

Wow, nice system. Wish I knew how to give thanks on here.

Is there a way to make 1 youtube video and change/edit the video to make it into 10? I figure if I cut the time, change around the segments and put a different localized title for each I can multiply my results.

Youtube recently made some update where GSA and other spam links penalize your video ranking, correct? Is there some natural link package I would buy on fivver to rank the videos well so they have some support or will the videos by themselves do decent organically? Google still loves videos I presume, but many DIY videos by people I see have only a couple hundred views.

No need to focus on views on YT focus on converting your traffic into sales.

Animotto is great for creating a variety of different videos which you mention. Post the videos that you make to other video sites and link these back to your YouTube video. This will help raise the profile of the main video on Youtube.

Another thing you might want to do is lookup forums related to your topic/niche and go in and solve people's problems and embed you video (provided it solves a problem). Targeted traffic = dollars. You can send a ton of traffic to a site and if it's not targeted then expect a lie conversion rate

As for fiverr just search for a bank linker. My advice is be careful here as too many spammy backlinks will get you slapped

Actually 10 videos aren't necessary imo. I usually run 1-2 to make it look like I am socially active. However, more videos will show more social indicators. I would suggest creating a unique video for each one because YT is a smart machine that know how to parse videos quite well.

As far as GSA penalty. I never heard of that for YT.

    Here is my advice:

    1. Use wordpress for your website. Install plugins like Yoast SEO and Yoast Local (good plugin to get you on Google maps)

    2. Local citations are boss. Google looks more at local citations than any other backlinks.

    3. YouTube videos - Create 1-2 videos and rank them. Put them on your website and install Video SEO by Yoast.

    4. Social profiles like G+,FB etc. <-- utilize those because they work awesome!

    Hi,

This is a good question. Well, I've been blogging for some years now and I've tried several different things and your right that Google has made a lot of changes. I am going to try and explain things as best as possible...

    1) Google Changes:

Good has put alot of emphasis on FRESH new content and high quality content. I would suggest setting up one main website which can be done with Wordpress. Make sure that that when you write content its the best content you've ever written. Base your content around your blog niche and keywords. Trust me when I say that writing 1-2 high quality blog posts for your website is better then writing 5 a week which are low quality.

You want to build your blog around your main keywords and add the keywords on your pages. Use plugins like All-in-one SEO which streamline the whole process.

    2) Ranking your website: Go viral! Thanks the best thing you can do for your real estate blog. There are a few ways you can do this...

First, start following people in your niche and when you write your content reach out to these people asking them to share your content. Twitter is awesome and Facebook can be very good for generating targeted leads. However the best way to rank and generate traffic is to reach out to bloggers in your niche.

Guest Blogging: My blog only started to generate traffic when I started to guest blog. High authority blogs in your niche have thousands of followers and them sharing on of your post can easily go viral. This spreads like wild fire. Your also building alliances which later can come in handy if you require feedback and guidance.

Both these factors can add real juice to your blog because these kind of factors actually tell Google that your content is unique and important. I would base my efforts doing this instead of blackhat SEO.

I started my blog in January and used both strategies to build quick momentum.

    In short...

    1) Build a niche blog only adding high quality relevant content
    2) Start following people in your niche Tweeting your content or sending them direct messages asking them their feedback and if they like your content to share it with their followers.
    3) Guest blog on high authority relevant blogs. These people have been around for years and have thousands of followers which can build instant momentum if they publish your post. This will also build a relationship with these bloggers which can come in handy later on.

If you want to rank the local keywords, then i recommend you to list your business in local business listing sites. Post classifieds, Post content(Blog, PR, Article), Social Media Marketing. It will help you. But if you do social bookmarking and directory, it will not help you although hurt you.

You need links with strength behind them and not devalued like blog comments.

In other words high PR links and those are a bit hard to find, perhaps you could lure a bit in your neighbourhood to sponsor local events and that kind of things and gather links that way.

Or perhaps close some deals with collegaue's and/or local contractors that also have websites. Brance organizations perhaps.

Then there are probably local directories in your region where you can get a link from, citations still play a good role on local level.

If none of that is enough or it leads to nowhere you can consider to buy links, it's not 100% safe but what is these days, no organic traffic also brings nothing in.

Lately someone made a smart comment, I think it was Yukon, saying that if you're not sure or not want to risk your site cause it does receive some traffic already, that you setup a secondairy site, rank that with artificial strong links and funnel the visitors to your main site.
