Any good PPC courses?

I used to be a PPC Marketer as well as a mobile marketer, unfortunately, that was 2 years ago and i have forgotten all information related to any of the two marketing areas.

Ideally, I'm looking for good courses that are updated (late 2013-2014) and could help me get back into the game of PPC marketing.

Thanks,
ScaredukeDevious

big fan of brad geddes. his book "advanced google adwords" is solid, but his course on market motive is definitely worth the money. would have saved me weeks of learning on my own if i had just started with the mm course.

Worth every penny, and it has a lot of free resources, the main problem people have in PPC versus SEO is that PPC is very marketing focus, that is why people cant make a dime there, because you really need to understand your market while in SEO (bad SEO) people just create backlinks or networks and think the same approac works in PPC that is why I recommend (and will continue to do so) his training as long as you dont change your mentality from "PPC Specialist, "SEo specialist" to master marketing you wont be able to make a dime online in the long run.

again, the value is not in doubt just the cost may be prohibitive

the question for many will be budget, they are here asking for low cost help

you may have 2 grand to spend on training, many don't

Meh. I've read a lot of Perry Marshall's stuff. At first I thought it was pretty good. But as I really learned how to do CPC, I realized it was a lot of general marketing topics that you can find anywhere and the CPC specific stuff is just average.

Ther are some technical aspects you need to know like Keywords, Match Types, Ad Groups, Display URL, Quality Score, etc. But you can find tons of free information about that online.

Then there is more advanced optimizing you can do with day parting, locations, languages, devices, and you can really dial in by using bid adjustments.

You'll learn a lot more by just doing it. Just remember that you need to carry your hook from ad headline through the ad copy to the display URL to the landing page headline, copy and offer. That's the most important thing, I think.

Also, do a search for your keywords and see what other advertisers are saying in their ads. Chances are they are 90% all saying the same exact thing. Your ad will stick out if you say something different.

I had a call with my Google rep last week and he couldn't believe that I was getting a CTR around 8% for an ad that is averaging a 5 rank.

sounds to me that you have a perfect opportunity to create a product, membership site, coaching or something else to pass on your obvious expertise to people like myself desperate to avoid costly errors and to learn the best ways to use PPC advertising

you may not be interested in creating such a thing but I for one would definitely be very keen to learn from you

      do you fancy it?

I reckon a step by step video training with real examples of doing research, creating and managing a campaign, avoiding mistakes etc etc in a membership site would work well...

ps I am driving traffic to the home page / freely available area of a membership site not to a specific page with an offer and sales copy/squeeze page

Depending on the content and design of your home page, that is either OK, or your first problem.

Can you convert cold traffic or do you have to send them through an email series to get them to convert?

Do you have a lead capture form on your landing pages or do you use an exit pop?

I don't know what market you are in, but keep this in mind: keywords are like pain points. Each different keyword provides insight to the prospects specific pain point. So someone searching for keyword1 is in a very different frame of mind and has a very different pain point than someone searching for keyword 2.

Therefore, the hook and message for keyword 1 starts in the ad headline and remains consistent all the way through to the call to action on your website.

This is completely different than keyword 2, which again starts in the ad headline and remains consistent all the way through to the call to action on your website.

You should know your market well enough to be able to pick out the different pain points.

Then, you can use the information within AdWords, once you are running your campaign, to optimize it, find new keywords, etc.

There is a lot that goes into effective marketing. Its not just ads and buy buttons. And there is something you could be doing every day within AdWords itself to optimize.

The PPC Coach course has been excellent so far so highly recommend. Plus he has his own tracking tool. There's a lot of information though so can be easy to get overwhelmed.

I barely made any real money before, but now I'm turning over decent ROI on several campaigns using one of the supposed "bad search engines" 7search using his methods!
