This may be a silly question to the trained, but some people have huge PBN's with 25 - 250 websites .. how do they maintain all of these sites?

Do they actually hire writers or do they just use a software like RankWyz to keep them ticking?

It depends. People will do things differently.

I very much doubt a majority of PBN owners are writing their own content so yes, they do hire writers.

Not all of them will have new content being posted every other day to every site, though, so again, it depends.

If you feel overwhelmed by it all you don't have to start out big. Build a small amount of sites and get things looking how you want them and then expand from there.

If you buy a domain that already has many valid, quality backlinks pointing to it, then you don't have to do anything to "keep it ticking." Add some content, including backlinks to your money site(s) to such a domain, and you're done with it.

In fact it's not a must to keep on adding content.

Service providers like me do keep on adding content cause of a continuous stream of clients, and I can't really dedicate them to a few clients as that would be too expensive with the budgets I work with.

I could use RankWyz but that's more for spun / generated content, and that hurts in a network in the long run, (high deindex factor, tested it long ago) so I use writers who write unique content and VA's to place it on the sites.

I could use a tool for submission but that limits me again in category choice and that kind of things.

Either way, if you see blog posts offered for $3 or less then you can be sure they use spun or generated content (mashed up) as otherwise it's impossible to get away with the costs cause the domains also cost a lot of money.

You need a few tools, paid or free.

    1) Spreadsheet software: You need to keep track of each site information like login, hosting, IP address, next payment date, etc.
    2) Main WP: A Wordpress plugin that helps you manage your sites in PBN
    3) Writers: Either you write or you hire writers

Other standard things like different domain name registrar, privacy payments, etc. are also needed.

What kind of footprint does MainWP leave? I mean, if you have the same plugin managing the same sites, I'm assuming with the same HTML tags or ID numbers or something, isn't that dangerous?

i read on BHW someone said this

As far as I know mainwp only works in the admin panel and doesn't show up anywhere on the actual website, so technically there would be no way for google to find it.

        is that correct?

As far as I know in default installation it does not mess with content or themes at all in which case it should not be an issue.

What do you mean by maintain?

What do you need writers for?

It's a one time setup affair and what you need to bother about is the hosting fees.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel here.

You absolutely should be using writers. Lots of different ones. If you are writing the content yourself across a network, that is a huge footprint.

One of those plugins, I don't remember if it was mainwp or another one, had some serious security issues that I do not think they ever worked out. I would Google around a little bit before installing one.

No point in rolling out the red carpet to a large chunk of your network to hackers.

They do hire writers to produce content for them on various topics. I have written for a PBN in the past. Also, there are tools that can make managing their blogs easier for them, such as managewp.com.
