Google ranks my homepage and an internal page
- SEO |
I started moths ago to rank my website for a keyword (for example: "thai massages london"). I designed the homepage and I wrote a page talking about Thai Massages. I also described the center in London where I mentioned that the center offers Thai massages and I posted different articles related with Thai Massage.
The website was ranking good and it reached the first page for the homepage when I searched for "thai massages london". Suddenly, Google decided that the page talking about Thai Massage should rank first instead the homepage and now the website is in the third page (it was at the four page until last week). But when I search through the phone, the homepage appears on the third page ranking for the this keyword. So, are both competing?
The internal links with the keyword were pointing to the homepage, but now I am confused about having two pages pointing to a similar keyword (the homepage and the internal page). What should I do? Should I change and rank the homepage for "spa centers london" (for example) and leave the internal page ranking for "thai massages london"? Should I leave both?
I started thinking that the homepage would rank for this keyword and this problem would never appear, but being something new for me, I would like to learn from all of you and your experience.
Thank you so much for your time.
Best,
Pedro.
