Unnatural inbound links
Google has detected a pattern of artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site. Buying links or participating in link schemes in order to manipulate PageRank are violations of Google's Webmaster Guidelines.
As a result, Google has applied a manual spam action to site.com. There may be other actions on your site or parts of your site.
Recommended action
Use the Links to Your Site feature in Webmaster Tools to download a list of links to your site.
Ensure that unnatural links pointing to your site are removed.
When these changes are made, and you are satisfied that links to your site follow Google's Webmaster Guidelines, submit a reconsideration request. If you're unable to remove links pointing to your site, please provide as much detail as possible in your reconsideration request.
For an updated list of manual actions currently applied to your site, visit the Manual Actions page. If no manual actions are listed, there is no longer a need to file a reconsideration request.
If we determine your site is no longer in violation of our guidelines, we'll revoke the manual action.
If you have any questions about how to resolve this issue, please visit the Webmaster Help Forum.

Reconsideration request for sitename.com: Site violates Google's quality guidelines
February 7, 2014
We received a reconsideration request from a site owner for sitename.com.

We've reviewed your site and we believe that sitename.com still violates our quality guidelines. In order to preserve the quality of our search engine, pages from sitename.com may not appear or may not rank as highly in Google's search results, or may otherwise be considered to be less trustworthy than sites which follow the quality guidelines.

For more specific information about the status of your site, visit the Manual Actions page in Webmaster Tools. From there, you may request reconsideration of your site again when you believe your site no longer violates the quality guidelines.

If you have additional questions about how to resolve this issue, please see our Webmaster Help Forum.

Gah, This is the annoying thing with Google.

They turn around, State that your not following the rules then give you a huge list of fuzzy guidelines to follow but never state or indicate what one could be killing your site.

The fact that its a "manual" action should mean that they could give you a clue at least, but they dont.

Google are slowly annoying me ( and others ) and I mostly use Bing now.

From what you say, It looks like you have done as much as possible. Duplicate content and image sizes shouldnt mean manual actions, so the only real big thing that it could be would be dodgy looking links back to your site.

You say that you have fixed that, so lord only knows.

I have heard that it may just "fix itself" when a new update comes out. But its a game that Google play and refuse to let anyone else kick the ball.

    You start a new site.

In most cases dealing with Google in these situations is a nightmare. From what I've heard.

I've recently had one of these messages and I'm still deciding whether to to do anything about it or not. The thing is that I've never had any significant Google traffic to this one site since I set it up 7 years ago. I was going to simply disavow all inbound links and see what happens but I'm not sure that I can be bothered.
