I want to bring this topic out because I really want to hear from you guys which PPC system you preffer. And most importantly, what kind of campaigns/products you promote via Facebook and what kind via Adwords?

For my various niches I found Facebook better PPC system, not only more effective but also cheaper.

In my opinion, it's best to run ads on as many networks at once as possible. Knowing how to properly identify and target your audience at the right time is the real key.

As a broad classification and my personal experience, Facebook Ads works for B2C campaigns - but Adwords works for both B2C & B2B Campaigns.

      Depends on what your selling.

Google Search will typically get FAR more leads for local service businesses for example than FB or Google Display.

The traffic count doesn't take into consideration the millions of fake Facebook accounts, nor that they are heading in opposite directions. Facebook abandonment rate is huge.

I personally use Facebook ads to get traffic. It's much more targeted than Google Ads and the CPC can be much lower. Also on Facebook, the time it takes to get accepted is much lower than getting accepted on Adwords.

I have had great success with Facebook Ads. It helped me build up lists and has helped with CPA offers. I made $240 in one day using FB ads to promote an email submit. It's really easy to use and the tracking is reliable. I highly recommend you use Facebook Ads.

how were you able to promote an email submit? Were you cloaking? Were you direct linking to the offer?

Facebook ads are very similar to banner ads. Although FB's targeting is phenomenal, you are still not targeting 'buyers', but 'leads'. So conversion will be much lower, or even nonexistent, on FB as opposed AdWords. That is why a big difference in price. IMHO AdWords are too overpriced and unless you are owning the product you can't compete.

Adwords are hands down the best traffic there are, there are no expensive keywords, just unprofitable ones.

I would go with Facebook as the results will be much better if you could use a perfect image and a short eye-catching title!

google and Facebook do not like affiliates, but if i had to choose between of them i would say facebook you have more range of audience and can convert dating and gaming which is pretty difficult with Google

Both Google and Facebook have a massive potential audience, and they both are primarily PPC advertising channels.

Both are good, depends on what you are promoting. FB are easy to get along with and extremely effective if you do it right. I find it's good for B2B as well as B2C. I get all my clients for my coaching business through FB ads.

Facebook ads are obviously becoming more necessary for any kind of reach on facebook these days. I have been testing the 'Boost Post' out recently, and the custom audience with a bit of targeting can be very cost effective compared to google adwords. One think of note, facebook allows images in the posts, which is a positive compared to google ad's, but sponsored images that show in the News Feed can't include more than 20% text.If you use too much text in the image, that will violate Facebook's ad guidelines. Your ad and potentially your post will will then be taken away from facebook. Study the guidelines to save you time, and you should be o.k.

The CTR of FB ads is a lot lower than the Adwords, however the CPC is is also a lot lower so the best decision is to try both and after checking the result you can allocate you budget to the more effective platform. Also bear in mind that the ad copy have significant importance about your CTR, CPC, conversion, etc.

Remember that Facebook also has the data partners you can use to target your ads. The big companies like Macys, GM, GEICO, etc all use the same demographics data supplied by these data partners.

If you advertise on Facebook, make use of these partners in the "Partner Category". You can even select the networth of your target audience to make sure they have money to buy what you are selling.

I had better engagement from Facebook before I spent $2000 on advertising. Facebook ads for me were the absolute worst waste of money ever, as the end result was my organic facebook results were negatively effected, something to do with the FB engagement tracking I am told. By contrast, Adwords makes me money.
