hello ,
i have been running my site,
hxxp://www.privatedrivinginstructors.com for 1.5 years already but have been stuck at the back of SERPS for pretty long.

What i have done:
  1. Proper Site Title and Description
  2. Internal Articles for the site
  3. Posting on local forums
  4. Adding business to Google Places
  5. Tweak site to increase loading speed

have checked Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch and compared myself to my competitor and realized they mentioned my site has 0 backlinks.

Am i blacklisted by google & what actions would you recommend i should take?

You aren't ranking, because you have no backlinks. Reach out to people and start building links - preferably good ones if you want results.

Best advice. You need backlinks, just doing on page stuff is the beginning. Logic alone will tell you, that if you have 1000 or more competing sites for those keywords, how would any of them magically reach the top just by having a nice page?

Concentrate on Off-Page SEO! Backlinks from RELATED websites. Go with Social Bookmarking, Social Media sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), Blog comments, Forum marketing, etc.

      I agree with the above

I'd put Singapore in the description

I'd also work Singapore driving instructor, Singapore driving instruction, etc. into the home page content a few times

Concentrate on your keywords, and get more good content, and buy couple high-PR blogpost links, and it should be working

    Hmm bad news from google.
Google message is clear , you must take care of all unnatural links point to your website and also start to build some strong and authority links for your page.
Ping your new links and also run some social media campaigns.

You can download all the bad links from webmaster tools and ask Google to remove them. But Google really need to know you did some effort by asking website owners to remove the link.

So, send some emails to Bad back links domain first. and when you submit request a review, send all the sent emails too.

My suggestion you can try to submit article to social bookmarking and sharing to social media site. Or you can try to checking your website at webmaster tool, may be have some error come out.

You are targeting a keyword that has over 100,000 competing sites.

Go on Google, put your keyword in quotes and see for yourself.

When the result is "0 to 500," you are destined to rank. The traffic you receive is pathetic, but it tends to return genuine interest.

Anyway, if you are going to backlink, make sure you do it with a site that is of interest to the reader.

But even with good backlinking, please remember...

You are trying to rank a site that:

    1. Focuses on ONE overly competitive keyword
    2. Does not give the end user decent free information (or entertainment)
    3. Expects the user to register in hopes of gaining your info (is pay involved too)? I mean, I can get the same results myself from Hub Pages and don't have to do anything.
    4. Offers a simple but plain collection of text and images. Such a style works for non-competitive keywords. But for what you touched, please give the end user more content.

What I would suggest is look for keywords that fit the suggestion I just mentioned and put that on your site. See if that method works...

You can also consider paying for advertising on a site that already has that type of ranking. Make sure you advertise a textual link.

Also, by the fact your site does offer an international interest, see what happens if you create an alternative where Asiatic language styles are used.

Posting on Warrior Forum with the backlink does not do anything for SEO. If anything, it only helps with getting traffic from people from Warrior Forum.

There is a difference between getting traffic and SEO. It's correlated, but not a mutually causal relationship between them.

Great SEO can mean more traffic BUT more traffic does not mean great SEO on Google.

Check this unnatural links from request review and if you think it is not related to your site than remove those links.

You need to start building backlinks before your site starts to rank. Don't expect results instantly.

Unfortunately the time when websites ranked without any intervention is long gone.

Just take action (as you are already doing) and it will rank better.

Hey I am also having problems with google indexing. The site has been up for 2 months with 6 articles put on viral content buzz and then shared. I submitted a site map to google through web master tools and when I perform "fetch as google" it comes back as a redirect under status. Using hxxp://ismyblogworking.com it says I am not indexed.
    Any suggestions donstearns.com

I'm not sure why you would use a 3rd party site when you can simply go to the source (Google SERPs):

A google search for site:donstearns.com does show that your site is indexed

However, using an online SEO site checker tool, I found your site pages do not have title, description, keyword meta content - maybe Yoast plugin not configured properly?
