What is Fresh Content?

Well, of course I know that new content is fresh content. What I am wondering is if it is considered fresh content (as far as SEO is concerned) when I revise a page or make changes to it. If I make changes to a page on my site, does Google see that as a reason to come back and look at the page again?

Thanks

  • No. This is not fresh content. Almost 99% of SE's (I am not sure if there are any that won't do this!) consider fresh content something new that did NOT exist in the page/website before... For example -> a new article in the blog, a new thread in the forum, etc.
  • Fresh Content is something that is 100% original and has not been copied or exists anywhere on the internet. A blog post which you had written yourself would be 100% original.

    • Ok - Thanks. I was not sure. I guess part of my question is if I revise some of my pages to make better use of long tail keywords, will it be of any benefit?

All of the content on our website is original. I check everything with Copyscape or Plagspotter before it is posted just to be sure.

      Thanks
