Can I track conversions for other PPC ad networks in Google Analytics?

Two questions please...

1) I want to do PPC to promote my own stuff and was wondering if I can setup funnels in my Google Analytics for other PPC networks? For example: If I'm running PPC ads on 7Search or Bing, etc., can I track those ads and conversions in my Google Analytics even though those ads are NOT Adwords?

2) And if I can do that, can you recommend a good source that shows simple step-by-step instructions on exactly how to set this up in Google Analytics?

3) And if that won't work in Google Analytics, can you recommend another way I can do this?

Thanks

Yes you can use Google Analytics to track PPC Networks other than Adwords. You simply need to tag the destination URL's used with other networks as per your goals. You may then create custom reports to see conversions by different Ad Networks.

If you promote your own product, you should can track it with Google Analytics.

You need to create special webpages (as the thank you page after the payment completed) for the tracking.

Thank you everyone for replying and the helpful links, etc.

I never did get my funnels working properly in Google Analytics and I think its because I use DL Guard which creates a unique URL for each of my customers download/thank you page. Is anyone using DL Guard successfully in their funnels in Google Analytics? Got any tips for how to make it work?

Configurate the goals on Google Analytics and then you can create a report that will show you the sources of those conversions, this is the easiest way to do it.

I'm pretty sure that all my funnels are set up correctly but the problem is the dynamically created URL's for my download/thank you pages by DL Guard that are causing the problem.

Then what you can do is to configure the events on Google Analytics, this records everytime your prospects clicks on the "buy button", this is one way (because obviously not everybody that clicks on the buy button really buys) but is the easiest way you have in Analytics

I haven't used "events" before but will check that out. Can "events" differentiate between different products with DLG URL's?

Events work with tags, so you would have to create a different tag per product, in fact you would attacha different code to the different buttons to sale each product
