Why is my website dying

Hi,
I'm looking for a little help with my prized website EscovaProgress.com

I've been living from this site since 2007, but ever since Penguin and Panda kicked in it's been gradually losing visitors, and more importantly ranking.

Where I was happily getting 500 visits a day, I now get 50.
I even think it's dropped PR over the last year.

I just don't get it. The site's been around for years, it's all original content and any rules I have broken were years ago, and hopefully put right by now (example bad links disavowed).

So I really would appreciate any help you can offer.

Anyone have any ideas why my site's dying?

It sounds like in google's eyes you still have bad links on your website or your content is spammy in nature.

      I don't think so.
I wrote all the content myself - in fact a lot of it's been copied on other sites.

Bad links wise, I had 2 different providers dig out bad links and sent off my dis-avow list about a year ago.

Could the site be just too damaged to be worth saving?

Breaks ny heart to think so...

When you say your content has been copied does these other sites link back to you?

If no, then google may view this as a link wheel unless your a high ranking authority type site. Link wheels is what shut down the flood of traffic for the ezine article type sites.

Thanks for all of this guys.

@traderfx Site's been around a while, so I had many of our copycats de-indexed back in the good old days.

Bad links wise, can anyone tell me how I'd go about evaluating that myself.

Have you used webmaster tools to see what google says about your site?
    if not try it.
Your content being copied could be bad, since it can be seen as duplicate content or link wheel.
Also it seems google still sees bad links.
There is at least one broken link on the site (blog), needs fixing.
Have you updated the site recently? If not some updates may be needed.

    @kaleshwarchand thanks
I do use Webmaster, and apart from two messages from a year ago, saying I sent over disavow files, there's nothing wrong.

And it also looks like Google pretty much ignored my disavow requests too.
Is there any way to address that issue with them?

    One more question.
Could my very strong Google Local listing be holding my site back from international searches?

We have an office in London, and years back I set up a Google business page that does very well for searches in London. But could that fact preventing my site showing up in other regions and countries?

I even think it's dropped PR over the last year.
You've lost links, the backlink pages have lost PR, or your older backlinks have switched from followed links to nofollow links.

I looked at a few of your +3K link profile, they're relevant links but they're kind of weak as far as SEO (nofollow).

I am sure you have received one use the webmaster tool to download you back link and start cleaning up all your link profile. Wow, thanks for all the help with this.

There never was any kind of penalty on this site, and I sent off my Disavow file of bad links months and months ago.
When I look at the Webmaster page for my links I see most are still there.

Do they disappear after a positive action, or stay there forever, simply ignored?

And is there any other way to contact Google, because I see the request reconsideration option has now gone from the Webmaster dashboard.

Uploading the disavow file means Google will not consider those links while ranking you, It like you will be given ranking by considering only your pros not the cons.
