Are there people here still using scrapebox? Is it still valuable for SEO? I would like to know if it indeed helps with the rankings of the keywords otherwise i should wisely shelve the idea of buying this software.

I personally would rather use GSA Ranker but I do know a lot of people who still use Scrapebox.

I use SB along with SEOspyglass. I hand pick the stronger links, I don't mess with the link blast.

You can also use SB + SEOspyglass for finding PBN domains.

SB is worth the price for the built in filtering.

after hand picking them do you link the good PBN blogs directly to your site or tier blogs
also what footprint are you using in hand picking those blogs

I don't use it for backlinks currently but I have before. I use it every other day for something or other. It has a ton of uses and features. That and my squid proxies subscription go hand in hand.

Not using Scrapebox myself, but some SEOs I know praise it for the scraping part. Seems that many just don't use it for link blasting.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

well if it goes for whole application, I do use it, but not for posting links. I use it for scraping, sorting lists, finding proxies, etc etc

Definitely worth it. It has so many functions, it comes really handy. I use it mostly for scraping and filtering targets to import into GSA SER, but also for scraping keywords etc.

It's a useful tool, but if you want to use it to blast your website with thousands of blog comments, then I would say give it a miss.

The comment poster is probably the worst function its got, that and the chess. It has some very useful functions indeed, that I would use daily. I also like GScraper for its sheer speed and stability with large lists.

But with neither tool, would I ever dream of using the comment poster for building links. Not unless I was involved in Negative SEO on a competitor. :p

I understand what your talking about but I still use the Check Links option on the Comment Poster. It's not blazing fast but it's a heck of lot faster loading a list of URLs than manually opening each backlink page & looking to verify the backlink still exist. Plus I don't need proxies turned on to Check Links.

Could use the Do-No Follow checker just the same, there's a few modules that can do that in different way.

Anyway the context of what I said was that I never use either for posting comments.

Scrapebox is great for finding then filtering web sites based on keywords, PR and other metrics. There's a bunch of good videos on Youtube that will show you all the other applications of scrapebox.

It's still useful unless you spam to build those backlinks... I would only find the TOP blogs for the desired keyword, then I would choose the pages manually of do the comments manually!!! Don't forget that 2-3 valuable comments could help your website more than 200-300 spammed or duplicated comments!!!

Scrapebox has a whole bunch of neat features that I find myself using almost every day. It's definitely more than just a blog commenter.

I've had it for a few years now and I still find myself discovering something new every once and awhile.

I am not really a fan of automated tools but with scrapebox I would rather use SENUKEX to build content to blogs and also build social bookmarks or perhaps good analysis tools like Traffic Travis.

@yukon Why do you need to find PBN with Scrapebox?

Even though scrapebox is not as powerful as it was in the past, it is still very useful for seo. Mainly for getting your lower tiered links indexed.

As long as you don't build backlinks with this software it's worth. You could find a few good backlinks to post comments on, but don't forget to post the comments MANUALLY!!! Never use a software to build AUTOMATIC (or even we can call them SPAMMY!) backlinks!

automated blog comments are really pain in the aS$ for webmasters. Instead of doing link blasts using SB, try to play with the tool in getting good keywords and blogs for guest posting.

SB is still useful, you just need some brain magic to make the tool work well.

Scraping is like digging for gold (at least for me anyways).

Now its all up to your creativity on what you scrape and how you use the information

    Go figure.

Did you know that scrapebox can even be used to contact site owners/blog owners for guest posting opportunities?

I use Scrapebox to check whether a link is live or not, then would use the same for building Tier 2 Links, scrapebox is also extremely effective for finding a lot of undiscovered sites which can definitely help in the rankings..
