I am looking for some help in terms of google rankings of a website URL with the negative article. Suppose there is an example website let's say -

example1website(dot)com

Now, for the above example website, another website having a very good page rank and and reputation posted an article which is not good for the company's reputation here - example2website(dot)com/negative-articleabout-abc.com

My question is what should I do to remove this article or push the results of this negative article away from the first page in the google's ranking on specific term. For instance when we type -

"example1 website" in google that negative website with the bad post appear. What can i do to push it from the rankings.

Note for admin- I am just asking a question I don't have any intention to post any link over here. I am seeking some help for my problem.

Unless they are posting something illegal or completely untrue, you cannot have it removed. If it is untrue, it is still going to be nearly impossible.

The only option you really have is to rank other web properties above it. A Facebook page, YouTube video, Twitter profile, blog, etc.

If you have the budget for it there are services that specialize in these kinds of reputation management situations. Like MikeFriedman says you can try outranking them with various properties but if they're established sites it will take quite a lot of work.

Thank you much mike for your response. I understood your point. But, there were some internal issues of the organization which was leaked in the media, and as you know..the media always look for the big fishes to feed them. Will using positive articles for the promotion with the targeted keywords would help? or social media accounts that you have said like google plus, twitter and youtube videos etc would be more effective.

Fresh positive articles and reviews Vs social media profile promotions to push the results away, what would be the more preferred and effective choice.

I would do both. I normally use about double the pages I need to move something off the first page. Some pages are going to move faster than others.

If it is fairly low competition, I would probably do a press release too. Not a press release through free sites or junk like that. I would go through PRweb. It will be about $300.

    Hi Eligiblebachelor,

We had a client who had a negative article from the Department of Justice government site. Yikes! It was difficult to push it back in search results, but what worked the best out of all that we tried were press releases. If you post them on PRWeb, these get the best results. The next best is the free website, PR Log.

We also used video on Youtube to push the results down and that did work, but you have to keep it updated. Creating profiles on Pinterest and other social sites also pushed the results down. We keep these updated for them once a month so it works well. Also, listing your business on Google + and Google Places if it applies to your business worked as well as Yelp and Manta listings.

The Press releases by far have worked the best and doesn't require any updates.

I would start with all the popular free sites first (Youtube, etc...). Unless your a really popular person/business that's probably all you'll need to add a bunch of fluff to the SERPs for your keyword. Another source of SERP fluff is all those domain statistic sites (100's of them) If the keyword has weak competition.

We should create and manage all public profiles like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, Foursquare, About.Me, Pinterest, Blogger, Tumblr, Photobucket, Quora, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Digg, Plixi, Flickr. Regular updating in social media profiles can be beneficial. We can link various profiles with one another and contiguous blogging and fresh and unique content updating in wordpress, Tumblr and Blogger can result in pushing away your negative link from the search result.

Consult with reputation management expert they will tell you estimate that how much will take time to push your negative article on Google 2nd page. well if your article published on high page and domain authority website then take slightly time to push on 2nd page.
