Need help with SEO, please help! everything I tried is a waste of time!

I tried increasing my rankings in Google for a keyword yesterday by creating links in bookmarking sites, article directories and web 2.0's.

After checking my rankings for that keyword today it only got worse and 5 minutes later I checked it again and it was back to the same spot. Maybe it's too early for my rank to increase as I only created these links yesterday?

After trying these out I'm getting the feeling they are a complete and utter waste of time.

Can anyone suggest me a few link building methods that provide HIGH QUALITY links, not social bookmarking, article directories or web 2.0's, only high quality links that will actually increase my rankings.

I know it would be perfect if I had my own private network of high PR sites to build backlinks with but in my case this is simply impossible until I start making money with the site I created, so giving up is NOT an option!

I am determined to rank on the first page of Google for my keywords and will do anything to get there!

P.S my blog is at hxxp://electronicreviewers.com and the keyword I tried increasing its ranking is LG Electronics 24LB4510 Review.

Any help is great guys! Thanks in advance!
Adam

First of all, bookmarking links and article directories are junk. They will not rank a website for anything the least bit competitive. In the case of article directories, they can even be toxic.

Second, you were expecting results in one day?

I'm not entirely sure if you are serious, trolling, or just trying to get a link to your site.

It would seem like a good idea to change the methods, then. The methods you're trying to use seem like a pointless exercise.

You're talking about a domain that was registered on 14th of this month. It's just enough time to get the site properly indexed for the first time. Google is pretty fast, but even they might not have noticed your backlinks yet. You can't expect to get any real results this quickly.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

Have you checked to see whether or not the links you're creating are Dofollow? If they are nofollow, they will not help to increase your site's rankings. Also, it is too early to see any increase in rankings just yet. SEO takes time. If the links that you created are dofollow and on high PR pages, then you should see an improvement within 2-3 weeks.

For new sites or sites that have low competition for your keyword doing your method might work but usually its not ideal.

A lot of people now days resort to getting expired domains, links from private blog networks or building tiered links with tools like GSA ser. You can use a tool like GSA ser and build extra links to those web2.0's pointing to your website it will help strengthen the link flow. But ideally you will want some more diversity, so try utilizing high pr links as well that point to your website.

just remember to mix up your keywords as well.

Thanks for the help everyone! I think the best way forward would be a private network of high pr sites.

  • The competition for the keyword you are trying to rank is of medium competition and it can be ranked higher. This post itself is already getting ranked on 2nd page of google, which was posted 2 days back, hence you could rank but it may take a little time.

Onpage seems to be Ok. But i see a lot of keyword stuffing and hence it has acted negative for you. Ensure it is there max. 2- 3 times, not more than that.

One more thing that is missed - add keywords in alt tags of the images.

Ensure you do the offpage with not just the main keyword, but with a lot many other variations of the main keyword, which would help you to rank better.

    I hope this helps

Forget link buldings with social bookmarking, articles submission and this shit
      thinked to poor indian guys.

      Spend 3000/4000 $ for buy 30-40 domains with Pagerank >=4 , setup a private
blog network with different wordpess themes, different IPs (some blog hosted on a free hosting and some blog hosted on a shared hosting that costs 1$/month)
and see the BOOOOOOOOM on search engines and on your Adsense account.

Internet is not like in 1997, there are many billions of dollars in the pot and you have to put your money in the pot if you want to seriously earning.

With the type of site AdamReilly1997 trying to market, I would suggest him 3 things:

    1. It's hard to track keyword-rankings.

Install "Google analytics" or another analytics program, use some marketing methods some weeks (or even months), then see how people reach your site, what keywords, channels and methods work.

Keyword-ranking can be a "long-term" strategy, or a bi-product of your marketing efforts.

    2. Focus on the website's quality and usability

    Focus on content-quality.

Make it easy to share the content to social media platforms.

You can try to get the visitors actively rate and review the products on your site. Don't just get people move to Amazon review pages.

Also, you can make the reviewing a bit different than in Amazon. For example you can make people to rate and review different features of different types of products.
(E.g. on TVs: rating the color, screen size, light, usability of "settings", etc. etc.
mobile phones: rating the screen, battery, sound quality etc. etc.)

I suggest you to make the site not just a blog but also a platform to rate and review different electronic products.

You can also put things like "top TV products" or "top android phones" etc.

I'm not sure if the yellow button "Click for best prices" is effective or typical Amazon affiliate links are more effective.

    3. Forget about "link-building", but focus on marketing

A lot of link-building methods you read online are outdated, but still a lot of them can work IF you look at them as ideas to marketing instead of just "link building" methods.

    Instead of social bookmarking:
Pick just 2-3 social media platforms, and use them actively, make posts, jokes, funny commercials, surveys etc.

    Instead of article-marketing:
You can try to contact some other website-owners which gets traffic and have active commenters, not in the exact same niche as yours, but a bit similar niche like yours, and make a posting to them (guest-blogging). E.g. sites on "saving money" can be great to guest-posting. As your site is about product-reviews and thus "shopping", and shopping is related to saving money.

I totally agree with your point AbdullahKaragoz;9147246

      @AdamReilly1997

      Just some additional suggestions:

I don't use Google Adword's keyword tool alone. Using this tool is only recommended for those people who want to start a PPC (Pay-Per-Click) campaign in Google. To get highly targeted keywords with search engine low competition, use the free (trail) version of Market Samurai. It trims down the keywords with high search results in Google keyword tool and gives you highly targeted low competition keywords without hurting your budget.

The quality of your back links is much, much more important than the quantity. Just like I read in one highly respected blog, "It's better to have 10 high quality back links than to have hundreds of low quality ones because they are nothing but crap."

You want to have a better search engine ranking in Google?

Post more useful, unique contents that people will want to read and share in different highly respected social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Find free and get-paid-to guest posting gigs in blogs with high Page Ranking. Don't know where to find these writing gigs? Just google "write for us" and you'll discover that there are hundreds of sites looking for guest posters like you and some of them are even willing to pay up to $100 per successful post!

Comment more in forums and respected blogs. You can never overemphasize how much Google loves useful, sincere, non-spammy contents in websites such as Warrior Forum!

Is your website new? Try using PR sites to announce your new website to the world! I tried using this method before and boy! After just 24 hours, one of the articles I submitted to one of these PR sites made it to the top page within a few hours!

Oh, and one more thing. Don't expect that your page ranking will go up within just a couple of days. Great sounding page ranking takes time you know

You don't need to spend 3-4k out of the gate for private blog networks. In Bring the Fresh, we've got folks in precious metals killing things just using 5-20 PR2 sites. Nice thing is, you can use them for anything as they're yours, including renting them out...just a thought.

What cypherslock says about PR2 is worthwhile. Hugely competitive keywords, no, maybe not so much. But if you've got low comp, or moderately comp, keywords, a number of PR2 backlinks can really help. I've seen that from experience. Obviously everyone wants to get PR4/PR5 etc backlinks, and obviously those would help much more. But that price jump from buying PR2/PR3 domains to PR4/PR5 domains is pretty darn big. If you can get away with a bunch of PR2 backlinks, then it will cost you much less to do. And it can be done (in some keyword situations).

You're posting to a thread that has nothing to do with your question. Please start another one.

This is a recurring question - use the search for a better answer. Yes, you need to query the search engines with right parameters. Most tools allow you to select the local version of Google, and the language you're targeting.

Hi Joseph, this would be a good news!
Then do you think can I use google WMT to analyze my SEO?

The only doubt I have is that I cannot have report. I know that WMT is very powerful but the issue is I cannot track it.

In addition I think that I cannot have site audit and link builder...

Posting more content is the easiest way to increase traffic because you are getting more search queries in Google.

A private blog network is a great investment. If you can't build one, then outsource it and use someone elses.
