Hi everyone,

I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what the problem is with my website.

It's an website focused on actors and we do interviews, advice columns, reviews and write-up anything regarding acting. No gossip or anything like that.

A little bit more info:
* Started the site in 2008
* We have over 6,000 posts
* We add most of our posts to our facebook page, twitter and pinterest.

I'm only getting around 1,000 visitors a day and making almost zero money via ads.
I've written several big posts on keywords we should easily rank for but sites that have crap content are ranking much higher than us.

I honestly have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I feel like I've tried everything. So, that why I'm turning to you guys.

The site is hxxp://www.dailyactor com

Any help/advice would be truly appreciated.

You need to target high volume keywords, optimize your site for those keywords, and then build dofollow backlinks on high PR pages using those keywords as your anchor text. Focus on going after high quality backlinks (dofollow, on authority sites, contextual, relevant, etc). You will see an increase in rankings and an influx of traffic to your site once those backlinks get indexed in Google.

I changed the theme in early February.

I'll take a look at quicksprout, etc. Thanks for the tip on that Surajrai.

I have been targeting my keywords. I'm just not ranking for them.
