Hello,

Please help!

I have not address of Australia and United states for website but I want to promote my website in both country. So I have created two website.

1. xyz.com – for global

2. xyz.com.au – for Australia

I have not mentioned address in xyz.com.au website but I want to promote it in australia. Any tips!

  • You dont need an address at USA and AUS in order to do business at these countries .
    Also you dont need 2 diferrent websites.Just focus in 1 website , better with the .com extension.

    • I do not agree. Google gives preference to country specific domain names for the search results.

      Ensure that you mention the country name in webmaster account. That would give Google info that you are trying to target a particular country
  • I would suggest a single .com, the reason being is trying to create unique content for two websites is not as productive as spending all your time on one website, and having the same content on two websites will not help you get any more visitors.

    Having said that I have 5 version of my website for different countries, but all but one of them is no follow, and they are just duplicate pages with local prices and spelling.
  • Whatever you decide to do, whether you keep just the .com or keep both. You're going to need backlinks from sites hosted in the country youre trying to rank for.

    For example, for the .co.au site, get backlinks from aussie sites. They don't necessarily need to have the .co.au TLD, but being hosted in Australia really helps.

    • No need of addresses in Australia or USA. Choose long tail keywords for SEO, Add good content in website, integrate blog, post good and unique articles in blog, target USA and Australian sites for backlinks.
