I have just noticed that the no. of visitors to my site in last one hour has fallen by more than 50%.

Can this be due to some google penalty. My page rank is still same at 1.

Well, this can be because of several reason, can't tell exactly what is going through like @Assignmentwriter said this might be happening because of paid marketing if you are running paid marketing technique to get traffic then this difference might be happening because of the your ...... might ran out.

Well, I looks like that those links might be the one hurting you, can't say exactly but I would say it would be better to take that link down. Because in online world you just can't know what is going hurt you.
  • Where was traffic from? Organic traffic of Google through SEO?

The page rank system doesn't indicate traffic that from Google.

  • Seriously? Your traffic dropped for 1 hour and you are freaking out about it?
  • One hour is not enough time to arrive at the conclusion that your site has been penalized. How is your traffic doing now? Is it still down?
  • There can be thousands of reason why you traffic dropped in one hour. Just monitor it and start worrying when it still stays like that in one week from now.

Ha, ha what's going on here?

Stop watching your GA real time stats.
  • I have observed few of my posts gradually reach first three ranks then the ranks they falling gradually.

    • Seriously, stop staring at the stats. Maybe there's slow moment for whatever reason, or your analytics tool of choice is having a hickup. That kind of overreaction to a probable non-issue is just preventing you from doing productive things.

If you really want to analyze stats, start by comparing previous week to the same week in last month. You need to have a solid point of comparison, and data that's processed and ready to go. Not the current day, not the current hour. Well, unless you're paying for good quality real time tracking, or self-hosting a solution that you trust... But even then you have to be logical about your analysis.

That's quite normal for new posts. Sometimes Google gives them bit of a boost for being new, but then they fall.

  • For getting traffic to your website you can use various search engine optimization techniques as forum posts image backlinking, web 2.0, video distribution etc... These techniques are good for backlink creation. Social networking sites are also good for redirecting traffic to your website.
  • Don't worry about this ,google sometimes renew their services(obviously),create more backlinks, comment on blogs and so on.people often when they get the traffic they needed think that it will be forever. You have continuously to update your website
