Looking to Improve my SEO Tool List

I'm trying to get some more effective SEO tools, currently I have:
Moz, LinkRisk, Sitebeam, Majestic and SERPBook.

To be honest, most of the above I find pretty useless, particularity Moz.
Does anybody have any recommendations for SEO tools?

I saw something called WebMeUp, but I can't seem to register, it says they are no longer taking on clients?

Thanks for that, I ran the tool and it came back with quite a few incorrect improvement suggestions, plus it doesn't seem to have any back-link facility.

Thank you for the suggestion, but i'll keep looking.

I've actually been looking at the SEO Powersuite for the last hour, this is one part of it. I once used Rank Tracker and that was awful. How does thus compare to Moz/ Majestic?

      Has anybody used BackLink miner?

Yep right now Backlink Miner is the bomb. Best tool I have. two copies of Spyglass I have are no longer even used because without loading up ahrefs info it gives very poor coverage of links. Miner uses mostly free services and gives me a quick good idea of the links. Whatever it misses I can load up ahrefs in the same way. Plus once you know your way around you can do some killer competition research with it as well

You should probably look at RankTracker again. It is way more accurate than Moz's rank tracking. It has a ton more options.

Screaming Frog is another useful tool.

I can not stress enough to stay away from WebMeUp. It was a great tool that I recommended to a lot of people. However, they have had some sort of problem where they have been unable to update rankings in Google on most projects. My rankings have not updated since April 20th.

That is not even the worst part. They used to fill up my inbox with promotional emails. As soon as this problem started though, they went totally quiet.

They have been completely silent about this problem. The only time they have answered anything about it is when I posted messages in their forum. Even then they were very vague, did not describe the problem at all, and cannot give any kind of estimate for when things will be working again, if they ever will be.

If you visit their blog or Facebook page, you will notice they completely stopped posting their too. My guess is they are going out of business or having some sort of internal strife within the business.

Either way, the service has been piss poor. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

It's a shame because I really liked the tool up until last month.

Sounds like the way they checked ranking might have been blocked by Google. It would take awhile for their programmers to rework that if they even can.

Thanks for that Mike, i'll be sure to check this out. I'll put PowerTools in the background for now, all of the other Tools I have are pretty good I guess (except Moz). Although I hear SerpFox is better than SERPBook.

Yet every other rank tracker out there is not having the same problem?

I think there is something more to it they are not talking about.

        Paul,

As for them recommending Link Assistant... yeah. The group behind WebMeUp is a group from Link Assistant. Not real clear on their business association these days. WebMeup is more or less an online version of the desktop tools in the SEO PowerSuite.

If you were having trouble with proxies, try a VPN instead. Generally cheaper. You'll have to rotate IP's now and then, but for something like that a VPN can work well. HideMyAss and VyprVPN are the two I would recommend.

Yeah but I dunno man rank trackers no matter who I use never pan out over the long haul so theres probably some built in issues dealing with google who I am sure doesn't like this kind of service to begin with

Did not know that. Learn something new every day. Maybe thats why i never liked Webmeup (besides a spam message here and there from them) Little things have ticked me off about link assistant so its not one thing but if I had to pick one it would be the less than honest claim that Spyglass is a one time purchase. If you don't pay the monthly algo updates that will come in time the software becomes a paperweight. I certainly don't pay it on both copies since it even then has poor coverage so one copy I bought is totally useless. That and I can't be bothered with the poor results anyway to be constantly tweeaking their setting to get the thing to work smoothly.

I try to automate my processes and spyglass acting up or freezing would just break my automation all the time.

Your software looks really interesting (WebMeUp) but I can't seem to sign up anywhere and not really sure how to proceed, how can I purchase your cloud based system?

That is unusual, how comes out of interest?
When will you be opening this up again? Can you suggest an alternative?

    Hello Paul,

We are presently facing certain tehcnical problems that we do not have a solution for yet. I'm terribly sorry to say we can't give a time estimate for when the problem will be solved.

We tend to recommend SEO PowerSuite: link-assistant.com SEO Software and SEO Tools | Top 10 Rank Guarantee | SEO PowerSuite[/url]
It's a quality product that we tried and liked ourselves.

Should you have other questions, please feel free to get back anytime.

    Best regards,
    Marisa, WebMeUp Customer Care
Thanks for that post Mike, above is the conversation I had with them and I agree.
They are suggesting this Link Assistant software that I keep coming back to, is it any good?

My problem with Rank Tracker was Proxies, it kept getting my IP banned and the proxies did not work 95% of the time, meaning that anywhere I went, the entire office had to enter CAPTCHA to use Google!
On top of that, I have to enter a CAPTCHA 30 times per day, so I went to SERPBook.

Did you try SEO SpyGlass? What about Traffic Travis (a small, but effective program!)? Also, ScrapeBox is a good tool to find related blogs (do NOT comment with it!). Don't forget that OpenSiteExplorer is also a good site to use!
