Do you know an anti-spam plugin of wordpress called Wangguard?

Hi Guys,

An anti-spam plugin of wordpress called Wangguard, have anybody heard about it?

Some wordpress blog platforms were installed it, you couldn't register in these platforms even you use plain email and private proxy.

I don't know how this plugin works, anybody could tell me how to bit this damn wangguard, does this plugin detect the machine ID for anti spam?

Is there anyway could fight it back then register in the wordpress platforms which with this plugin installed?

  • Doesn't seem to be an anti-spam plugin the same way that Akismet is, for example. WangGuard just protects your blog from spam registrations, and it's useful only for sites that need to have the registration enabled.

    Team WangGuard claims they're applying same kind of principles that are used in the virus scanners. Probably some kind of fingerprinting and heuristic analysis. If you're looking to break their model you need to keep one step ahead, and they're still going to learn your new tricks sooner than later. So good luck with that.

    • More proxies, a more powerful server, run your tool at higher threads don't worry about wangguard, akismet, or any of these and never point these comments directly at a site you aren't willing to lose.
