Hello all,


Recently i have working on link exchange techniques but it doesn't help me at all. My site ranking is still constant.

Does this exchange of link really works??

    Well, i would say if Google caught you on this you will be in trouble I don't prefer doing it.

    Only if you are doing three way links. If you are doing two way exchanges then thats a problem

    Two way links are reciprocal and easy to see. they link to you and the you link back to them from the same site

    Three way links theres is a third site involved. You (site A) links to a Site (Site B) and then another site (Site C) links to you (Site A).

    Link building is not a powerful factor for generate backlinks because google penguin update hurt your site, if your backlinks coming from link exchange.
    It has no any value. It us useless method.

    Having a few reciprocal links isn't a problem, crappy sites that nobody cares about is the problem.

    I have a few followed reciprocal links on my best money site where other sites have listed my site as a niche resource. I've also listed a handful of those same sites/links on my own pages because I've used those sites so I figured my traffic might find them useful.

    What I did is let those links sit on my money site for at least a year, then I went to Google Analytics & checked the inbound traffic volume from those reciprocal links on my own money pages.

    I then narrowed down the links with the highest inbound traffic from those relevant sites & dumped the rest of the links. My reasoning for thinning the reciprocal links was If the other sites aren't sending me direct traffic, I'm not sending them any traffic.

    Anyways, reciprocal links isn't a problem If you use your head.

    Link exchange may harmful in google penguin updates.
    There are many ways to generate high PR quality backlinks.
    So focus on that and leave link exchange.

      This is false. there are various ways of doing link exchanges and not all of them are helpful. some are virtually undetectable

    Link exchange with quality site in your niche is good but if you do lots of exchanges in a little time with crappy sites then it may harm on google penguin update so its better you look alternate solutions.

    Some internet marketers use following link exchange strategy:

    1. They create a website (let's call it website A) with some content.
    2. They link from website A to their domain which they wish to rank better in Google.
    3. Then they set up crappy website B (with a few free articles or something like that).
    4. Now they do 3-way link exchanges - they put partners' links on the website B and partners link to the website A.
    5. This way, website A gets some link juice and because contains a link to the main website which the marketer wants to promote, the main website benefits from these link exchanges.
    6. Some people have multiple websites as described above to multiply the effect.

    But the question is, if this strategy is worth the time. Maybe it works and helps in terms of SEO. But is not better to use link building methods where you get not only the SEO effect but also real visitors?
