Is there any method available which can get us a dofollow backlink from facebook? It is a huge source of traffic but can we turn it into a source of getting page rank for our site? Dofollow backlink from page rank 9 website can really help our site to get high PR.

  • I don't think Facebook will allow do follow links cause they protect their Good reputation. I may suggest that you forgot getting link juice on facebook and try submitting your website into do follow websites.
  • Even if you did get a dofollow link from Facebook that link would probably sit on a page that doesn't have much link juice and/or isn't really reachable by Google. FB front page with PR9 doesn't link to anything but their own support pages - it's just for users to log in.

    User's feeds are basically behind that login, and only the public profile might be visible to Google. FB fan pages are walled-off siloes, a mini sites you need to build yourself (including backlinks). FB's publicly visible front page never links to either of these.

    • That doesn't give you followed links, not for user profiles nor company pages. Even if this was true - and it's blatantly false - the link juice would depend on the page the link is sitting on. A well-known local politician has his Facebook profile page at PR4 because he's been very active in politics and on Facebook. Guess where your average user sits at... Not only that, but the average user may have his/her profile limited to not leaking any information outside Facebook.
    • Forget it, it is also a no follow link, I've added my website's link to my facebook profile page. When I see the source code, I find the nofollow tag, see the picture below.
