I need to start my own blog and I have written some unique content too for my blog. But in the primary level i am thinking to start it in blogger because it is free.

But for SEO purpose I know that I should use top level domain name but I don't want to invest at this point so what should I do?

Is there any way to get completely free domain name?

A domain name costs about $10. If you cannot afford that, you should not be starting a business.

Blogspot.com sub-domain pages rank just like any other domain/page. If you need free, use it.

It's true that if your content is good it can eventually rank just as well as a paid domain on paid hosting.

You can drive traffic to your pages, paid or free, the same as you would for any other digital property.

But the pages don't belong to you.

One day you could wake up and find Blogger or WordPress or Weebly or Tumblr or whichever one you picked can wipe you off the face of the digital planet and are under no obligation to give you back your content.

The investment isn't in the cost of the domain or hosting - the investment is made in yourself.
