OFFICIAL: Panda 4.0 is being rolled out today!

oh man here we go.

I am seeing some very unusual movements. I keep an eye on a few niches I work in and a few sites of mine are showing extremely unusual serp movements. Thankfully, the movement is on my side so far, so I am seeing lots of improved ranking.

I hope thats the case for most of you guys as well.

I wonder if any of the most recent "thin-content" penalties have anything to do with this Panda rollout?

Maybe they were internally testing the algorithm, and in doing so identified these low/thin content sites with the new algo before officially rolling it out?

Our rankings are stable. Nothing changed much.

Is there anything we should be afraid of? Knowing that we've been following accordingly to Google?

Is it Panda 4.0 OR Penguin 4.0?

I think it will take a few days. I have seen some fluctuation in local results.

Not much change on rankings my end but the UK seems to always be delayed for this updates. Lets wait and see!

We are seeing a 40% increase in traffic in the financial niche - resulting in about 300-350 more unique visitors per day. HOPE when Panda 4.0 has finished rolling out we're still getting these numbers. Like a $2000+ a month raise.

According to Google, Panda 4, was not the only update. There was also a new update
and refresh for the "Pay Day Loan" algorithm that was also released at the same time
of Panda Update.

I'm happy to say that a large site I've been advising on Panda recovery has had a massive jump in the SERPs from this update.

I wish I could find more clients who are prepared to make the investment needed to recover a large website - the fees are good

My search engine traffic doubled yesterday, I guess that was, because of the update, but today it seems to be at the usual level. Will see what will happen later.

Ohh god... Google using the fear tactics again

We have actually noticed a positive increase. I had a small eCommerce client that has seen a decent uplift in rankings and an average of 20% increase in traffic from organic.

Just a quick survey, does anyone here already been affected by the recent Google Panda update?

Google panda 4.0 update totally not affect at my site ranking. May be will have google page rank update on june 2014.

I did loose some ranking but same time I was resubmitting sitemap and some other changes and I think my website is dancing b.c of that. Also I notice that many of my keyword has lot lot more of ads showing up on google search and that can affect click to my website also.

Hilarious reading the forums this past two days. Some companies spending crazy money trying to recover from past Panda updates, and now claiming it was all their time, work, and investment that did the trick. Not likely.

All of our sites that were hit by the first Pandas recovered by 30-40% on Panda 4.0 and we did NOTHING as far as making ANY changes to the sites. You hear companies talking about all of their massive recovery work having exactly the same recovery rate as those who did nothing.

When Google hit us with Panda I refused to change a damn thing on our sites because the content was excellent. Bing and Yahoo still liked the sites so we just ignored Google`s bullshit and created new domains to make up for loss of traffic.

Only thing Google taught me with Panda and Penguin is that crap sites can rank quite well, and high quality sites can get buried by the crap. As a result of this update our old quality sites have had a nice recovery, and the new crap sites are doing quite well now as well. All Google did was make a lot of smart and experienced site builders and developers take the time to create massive auto-generated web sites to fill their index with more weak pages.

So what have they gained?

Panda was rolled some days ago and there is not a drastic change with many websites as of now. Only sites with low quality content got hit. Even payday loan algorithm was rolled out effecting sites with spammy backlink structure.

On the 21st, our traffic was spiking up, but then slipped on the 22nd, 23rd, and up until now. Our metrics are lower compared to what they were before the update. But it's not that extremely low, I guess it's the Google dance. I read in another forum that it can take 4-5 days for everything to settle. I'll see what happens this week.

No effect to my site till date. But dont know whats going to be next

Li'l Bit Change In My Blog's Traffic

Today i have seen a big fall on my site's ranking. 1st page 6th position to directly 2nd page 8th position for one of my money keyword.

Only a couple of the websites we handle seem to have been hit by this, but neither had large headers or any ads above the fold.

Well that sux! I just bought a site for $2.3k on Flippa... hope it sticks or gets bumped.

Here we go again. It's amazing the amount of people that live in fear of Google. If it gets any worse I might go back to school and get that PhD. I honestly think someone should study the amount of man hours caused to be lost through all of this. How many legitimate business owners spent a disproportionate number of hours simply messing with this stuff over the years? How many legitimate business owners have lost everything because of this?

For the first time since all the Panda/Penguin roller coaster opened, my money site has actually gained ground. I'm probably back to Panda 2.0 levels. Still a long way from where it was three years ago, at the top of its keyword. I gave up trying to catch up to the Panda changes long ago. I have good content and honest SEO, dagnabit, and I'm not dancing to google's tune.

One of my sites looked like it got hit. What was interesting though is that it is slowly coming back up. Not making huge jumps up, but each day the rankings are going up one or two positions.

Google told us "Panda 4.0 affects different languages to different degrees." Adding that "in English for example, the impact is ~7.5% of queries that are affected to a degree that a regular user might notice."

Panda 4.0 has killed the tiny affiliate websites forever and link building is being much tougher then ever..

As far as you stay honest in your work, no one can penalize you. At the end of it, only the good ones servive it!

Yes it is rolled up we does not get affect in this update ,always try to use unique and strong content for your promotional activities content is the king for SEO.

Most of the sites having too many pages on it but with low quality of content, Google no planned to kick out all those low quality of sites from searched results. I think it would be a crackdown against low quality large websites like Facebook and large Classified sites like Olx.

No matter what the update is, when you are updating your site with good, high quality and unique content, you do not need to worry about anything. All updates from Google are about 'quality'.

I looked at the top Press Release sites and checked if they lost any SEO visibility on a large scale since Panda 4.0 hit, and PRWeb.com, PR Newswire, BusinessWire and PRLog all seem to have lost significant rankings in Google.
Also I have found the eBay is also hit by Google Panda 4.0 due to link spamming and some other seo issues.

Yes, but not only since today, rather since about two weeks I have experienced "Google dances" regarding sites the SEO interests of which I am looking after. Since these engage in organic link building (strictly whihte hat) and assuming, their link growth metrics are faster than overall Internet growth, they should, if anything, risen or "treaded water", however, they bounced back and forth since about a fortnight. As far as I understood, that has been a sign of a pending "full-fledged" algo release and since Panda 4.0 was expected, I see this a normal. All I wonder is when will the dust settle again.

Hello everyone! I have one question. Recently, my website fall from 800 visitiors per day to around 50 visitors per day. First sharp fall was on 5th of june and Panda was launched in may. How can I know if Panda is responsible for my website fall or penalisation? Thanks in advance!

It seems the advantage gained by this update is gone and traffic is back to pre-Panda levels.

Panda, Penguin or even Godzilla (:p) cannot hurt anyone if you create a website with quality content and build healthy relations on social networks.

One of our client's sites went from 12 first position Google to 0 first positions and 12 2nd positions. AVVO, an aggregator site, is number one for all the geo keywords now. How can we overcome this?
