I got 20 spam links from fiverr.. should I disavow?

After a few months of pretty good ranking for keywords after I ordered manual backlinks from "relevant" sites, my site is nowhere to be found for those keywords. I looked at the links, and they are anything but relevant.

I went to the sites to see if I could have them deleted (all unnatural looking comments), but it doesn't look like there is any activity on these sites and 100's of spam comments that aren't going to be monitored in anyway.

Should I try to disavow them through google? Should I also try to just get more quality backlinks to override these bad links?

I had these links pointing to my landing page. I am also considering changing the landing page name and recreating it with new quality links.

My domain still gets decent traffic and ranks for other keywords, but I want the majority of traffic to go to the landing page (for me ebook sale).

Thoughts? Thanks guys - and I learned my lesson for sure - no more shortcutting.

First, relevancy of the links isn't a problem. People rank all day using link networks with links from anything BUT relevant sites.

20 links like that aren't gonna kill your website. Try and get them removed. If you can't disavow them.

Thanks Net. Just to clarify, would you recommend I try deleting them first, or disavow first? I haven't been through the disavow process before so wanted to check.

Actually, relevancy is getting increasing important; if Google could squash those link networks I'm certain they would. (though admittedly they work well!)

Disavowing doesn't necessary mean Google will certainly remove those penalty. Try to get it removed and if you can't give it an attempt at disavow.

Another random SEO question - should I link every single post to my landing page, with the keywords I want to rank in as the anchor text? Is this keyword stuffing?

Have you got a notice from google?

If not, why are thinking about disavowing something that's not there?

Make a vow never to use fiverr for that again.

I won't do this unless there is a warning in your Google account. Also, you could ask the webmaster to kindly remove the backlink before using any tools to do this manually!

A few spam links aren't going to kill your site. If you haven't received any warning from Google, then just let these links intact there. $5 links from Fiverr aren't always harmful, sometimes they rank you , to stay safe, never think about just $5 links. You can't turn $5 into $5000 over night. It needs efforts. If you have money to invest, hire a reputable SEO, otherwise do it by yourself.

I agree. I would not disavow unless I receive a warning from Google. Although I would further investigate the backlinks and remove all spammy and low quality links that may have hurt my rankings. Then I would at the same time start building more quality links and also support my SEO campaign with more SMM campaign to build good online reputation.
