For example. I have a long article with 2000 words. I would split it into 5 different pages in wordpress blog post. Does it affect google ranking badly and if so then how could i fix it besides not splitting it?

Multiple relevant internal pages would have a positive impact on the SERPs.

2,000 is a bit long, I would look to split it in 2, or three at most, but only if the content lends itself to a logical break.

I think the 4-500 word article has become an accepted standard by marketers, because they
    1. Are paying for articles and want to save money
    2. are lazy

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

I think not, but may be because you already know that now when anything put on Google search bar ..Google not only see that phrase or key in title or meta but also see in content ...This way it can affect little ...
