Backlinks -Newbies

I've had good quality links to my site work within about a week. Lower quality links like web directories, blogs, forum postings, etc. can take several months before you see any noticeable results. What you need to do is get a good mix of every type of link you can and just build them slowly over time.

I agree with this opinion, but I have a question, whether nofollow blog can give we backlink, because it is very difficult to find blogs that do follow attribute

ok, i have signed up to pauls (ithink its paul) backlinks and almost half (my 20 i mentioned before) i willl try to just keep slugging away

Normally your links will count once the sites your links are on are spidered by Google. So the best thing to do is find the sites that have backlinks to you, and bookmark them, and ping them if they have rss feeds. That will help the search engines to visit faster and get you credit for those links quicker. Normally google visits most sites that are indexed every 7-10 days.

Depends on link quality and when they are found.

I have had results in a few days to a few months.

Higher pagerank links normally are found quicker and therefore credited to your rank quicker.

this is whay I do to get the links crawled asap.

create all the backlink profiles and post 5 links to blogspot, then bookmark using mixx.com.

Mixx gets crawled quick. Don't create to many links at once.

Back links always make a difference in SEO, as we all aware of. Building links to the most relevant websites by maintaining consistency would help a website to gain better PR and in driving some quality traffic.

Well, I think you have to do some more hard work, If you can deliver 20 links per day-for 14-15 days, You will be able to see some more success, However, you have to make sure that you are using all dofollow links and quality ones.

A newbie? Here's some advice:

Don't worry about PR, don't worry about DOFOLLOW and NOFOLLOW. Just get backlinks, anchored with relevant keywords, and you will experience a boost in ranking and increased traffic.

You can worry about the other stuff like PR and follow tags later.

, well, it depends on your keyword. However, If your those 20 links are cached as well as those 20 links are from your related niche + have some PR, that is useful for you once those are cached.... however, continue getting more backlinks, try to get 200+ links for 5-10 days, after 15-20 days of your progress of getting backlinks, you will be able to feel good traffic to your site. I am sure about it.

SEO is defined when you're the top result for the keyword. Then it's mission accomplished. I'm #3 for one right now, and the top 2 spots is very very very hard to knock down...

well i have decided to start a new project since posting this, and instead of doing just straight forward backlinks, i have started using article directorys to boost my keywords, i also use the web site amautomation and i currently have 130 articles with back links posted across the web.

I also just started trying to get backlinks through RSS feeds, i created a blog on blogger, squidoo, hubpages, tumbrl, feedbite each linking to the previous one, i hoping this will boost my backlinks once i get them all indexed. I have studied the art of backlinking hard these past 6 weeks and have learned a lot so i shall report back what ways i find most effective.

link building is not a day job pal. its not somethig you do for a month and stop. if you stop, another person that has been doing the work fro more than one month will outrank. so, the best thing to do is keep building it. that is the only way to get good trafic and make money online.

build backlinks from as many ways as you can. web 2.0 sites, blog commenting, article writing, angelas and pauls link packages work great. download seo for firefox which will show you where are your competitors are getting their links as well. You could also sign up for Free traffic system where you can write an article and spiin it and submit to 30 blogs. Its a free system and it works. Ive written 4 articles now and have 120 backlinks just from those articles. But its important to mix up your back linking methods and not use just one way.

does anyone have any other good article sites? i understand ezine is the best one, but they take so long accepting articles, i currently have 8 awaiting moderation dating back to the 13th July. Do most article directories have a similar backlink ranking?
