For new domains it will take at least 2 months of link building to get google organic visitors. Within a week you can expect just the indexing of your site. If you need immediate traffic start an PPC campaign in Bing or 7search. Thin affiliate sites cannot rank easily in present situation. Add lot of meaningful, useful contents related to your niche by targeting low competition keyword. If you have targeted the keyword like "weight loss". You will never reach page 1 even after few years. So enter into the niche where low competitive keywords are still available, use keyword tools like long tail pro to find such keywords.

First of all you need to drive targeted traffic to your website. To do that...

1- You have to rank your site for multiple good keywords. For this, learn how to do SEO or hire someone to do SEO on behalf of you.

2- Learn how to do Email marketing. Learn more about Solo ads and email SWAP. There are some good forums available where you can see people with email subscribers are ready to send you quality clicks. Find them. Filter them according to your niche. Carefully chose some providers and pay them to send instant targeted traffic to your site. I often get at least 4 sales after an email blast. If the investment is 50$ for every 100 clicks then I can easily make 100$ from just 4 CB sales. Not bad at all.

3- Collect email subscribers from your visitors. Send them well written emails. Now do little bit math. Lets say you have 100 subscribers. You are sending them emails once in every week. In this way you will surely get at least 5 sales within 4 weeks or one month. From 100 subscribers this amount is not bad at all. So you need to collect as many subscriber as you can.

One big mess that almost every new marketer does. Most of the time I noticed newbie marketers often forget to design their landing pages attractively.

- Build an authority site instead of building poor 4 pages affiliate sites.

- Make sure your landing page is well equipped with good video, article or whatever content you want to use.

IM is not a subject which can be understood overnight. It takes time, effort, investment etc. as other offline businesses. The good side is here you can start a shop with 5 products with comparatively low investment than an offline business with real show room. Only 7 hours a day will not work.
