If you have several branches of a website, traffic into 1 branch boosts the other?

So for example, this website LearnLangs.com | All You Need to Learn Languages has offshoots of Learn to read, write and pronounce Korean and Learn to read, write and pronounce Arabic .

Both are separated from each other so that one who is interested in Korean and stumbles to that branch of the website, doesn't need to look at Arabic or any other section of that language learning site.

Would the traffic coming into the Learning Korean website boost the main website (learnlangs.com) so that the "Lean to read, write, and pronounce Arabic" branch of the website would benefit from the boost?

    Like Adie said, doesn't matter where links are coming from the entire site with get a boost.

    Whatever you do don't split your site into sub domains eg: korean.learnlangs.com

    All you'll end up doing it split the link juice and end up with a load of small sub domains rather than a decent sized authority site.

    Are you talking about traffic or links?

    Traffic means the visitors coming in. Links mean other sites linking to your website.

    If you are referring to traffic then that doesn't matter since Google doesn't count that into play in ranking the site. Links on the other hand will benefit the whole site wherever it is pointed on the site, HOWEVER, the closer the link is pointed to in the homepage, the more the site benefits as a whole.

    Ex: link is pointed to....

    Good: site.com/category/topic/title

    Better: site.com/category
