What are the best strategies for SEO now a days?

So you're saying that you know what and how you should be doing, but don't want to hear about it? What a way to present a question.

Nothing's dead as long as you're not trying to purchase it for cheap, or completely misuse a technology. That's what backlinks for bookmarks and blog comments are, nothing else.

Most public links were never very effective.

Guest posting is far from dead despite that Google likes us to believe differently.

In fact guest posting on high PR sites or setting up your own high PR network is still insane effective, it might just look a bit less effective cause many are using this technique these days.

The whole web is build from links and pagerank is just a summary of all the links pointing to a page, the foundation of Google rankings. That ain't gonna disappear. Some say pagerank is dead or unreliable due to the few updates, which is partly through, though in the end it will always come down to links and thus a metric that calculates the value of the links, no matter how you call that metric.

The best STRATEGY for SEO now a days is to play google rules specially providing quality and unique content for your users and you will be rewarded.

People will share you content and refer to your site naturally because they find it useful. With that been said, you only have to build 6 or 9 high Pr relevant backlinks and you are done.

I don't say building backlinks only doesn't work, but have your users in heart all the time and it will be ok.

hi sethczerepak, i like your answer but i want to ask, you talk about articles, press release, blog comments or bookmarking, even if i hire quality writer for me to write all these things. how would i know if those things are quality stuff or copy paste. how can i keep a watch on these stuff to maintain quality. Any specific strategy? i know strategy will change with the domain and industry but still, is there any checklist one has to follow which will keep him away from Spam. i would appreciate if you clear my doubt. You need some high authority links (used to be called high PR, but PR is not very accurate due to the few times they update) so you need to check the links that go to a site and check trust flow and citation flow and strength of links that go to it. Majesticseo.com is a good way to do that.

Use mostly brand and URL (domain with everything, domain name only etc) links. Keep your keyword links down. No more than ten percent, but if you have thousands of links, I would lessen that percentage.

Spread a few articles and web 2.0 should set you in the right direction. Keep the links as above.

This is by far the best opinion you will find.

To elaborate MajesticSEO will now display the categories of the sites linking back. After researching multiple niches with top ranks I can confirm from my experiments that is is user useful.

Those sites that simulate white hat methods (plenty of paid links in there) in how they link back with brand names, minimal anchor and plenty of links to deep pages come up trumps in the serps.

You could possibly scale for the short term using PBN (if you can remove them when need be) just to get some quick cash once ranked to work on the longer term link building. Otherwise the best way forward is clean link building from related sites.

These things haven't necessarily died, in fact many people are still having lots of success using these methods.

You just need to employ them correctly and ethically.

Basically you will want to get strong, relevant, contextual backlinks, you can use whatever methods you like.

The method isn't what has died, it's the implementation.

Blackhat? As far as I can tell PBN is the main answer with blackhat, use PBN and web 2.0 links combined with social media links and you should be good.

Whitehat? The key is to make your content go viral over social media. Write a long post and then contact other people in your niche and ask them what they think.

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't done blackhat in a long time.

You've pretty much listed the things that sad dreams are made of, seriously EZA as SEO? I don't know where you asked your question but the list pretty much says those folks never ranked pages.

Relevant links on same/similar niche authority sites has worked for years but don't bother If your sites only asset is an affiliate link.

Even I heard of all these stuff that most of the things you mentioned above is dead but these do work only to a certain extent of building backlinks. The main thing is visitors. I focused on getting targeted visitors to your site through channels like social media and it worked.

If you get backlinks from pages that have high Page Authority and Domain Authority, those type of links are the strongest provided the site does not have spammy links.

Make sure you check the backlink profile of the site you place a link on and check it's trust flow in majesticseo if the trust flow is high you're good to go

In the current ranking strategy you should focus on content, SMO & On-page because they will help you to increase your domain authority. I you have good domain or page authority you will be visible in top of search results...

Make pages primarily for users, not for search engines.

Nothing's dead, just more focused on user experience. Ask yourself, does what I'm making here provide value to someone who would come across it? If you'r answer is no, then stop whatever you're doing.

Google's getting good at quality control. I still generate traffic from a lot of what you've listed above, but if you're going overboard and misusing/abusing it then you're going to get a bad result eventually.

Broken links work really well for me, creating really good content tends to do the trick as well. I try to create something people in the niche want and then I share it with the big hitters in the niche, this gives me some good up front traffic and powerful links for later on.

Enuke, According to me nothing is dead in SEO just the way of publish is changed. Guest Blogging with unique and fresh content submitted on high quality sites are always preferable. As well the infographic submission is also in trend. So just keep it up your site optimized with on-page and keep promoting it on High PR sites with fresh content which will always beneficial for you.

Yes old school backlink methods are not working but if you can do it in natural and advanced way than everything will work. Focus on link earning instead of link building. Try to engage in your niche community. It will help you to create a brand value for your website as well as to get backlinks. Also focus on content marketing.

All the things you mentioned is still working and a lot more tools added to promote your website. Unless it looks like a spam it will never work, you got to work harder and the best way is always to give first before taking back.

So if you want to get more clicks/visitors, you have to get the trust first of the viewers! That's the only way to stand out against thousands of people ton the market.

The shortest way way to get trust is to give them what they want.

Be sure to plan your site -think of your main niche keyword, secondary keywords / supporting keywords and your categories.

your sites internal link structure and architecture will be important - if your using wordpress then keep this in mind when working with plugins or themes

Don't over optimize and keep things natural but be sure your site/page is sending the correct signals - use LSI words in your content and site

link to authority relevant sites and make use of videos and images - videos help keep your users engaged and so does quality content. This will keep your bounce rate low.

Have a good social presence - each article/post you make should be syndicated on your social properties,

now get some more links from different sources - just be sure to look for quality links - Press releases, private blog networks, social media, guest blogging and so on.

Some great points were written here, only think to mention more is to build (or hire somebody to build) your own private network to link your site. Sites with great, strong and old domain that will link only to you.
