  • Your English seems to be fine.

    I'd think that not being the expert might actually pan out in your favor.

    So.. go around your company. Interview people. Let the engineers talk you through the product. (Maybe even video / audio)

    See what excites them about it and note what excites you about it.

    Write about that.
  • I agree with blindapeseo, When he is saying that your English seems to be fine. So, kindly remove that fear for now.

    If I carefully see the selection of words in your thread. Following observations are there:

    1)

    My Suggestions are:

    1) It is not required that you are expert in your field from the first day of your carrier. Important thing is, How much you like this job and this field you are in... If this is something related with your passion...Then rest assure that you will certainly going to learn the things which are required to become super successful. Just give enough time to yourself.

    2) You are trying to learn SEO for your current project...I will say ...No...Please don't try to learn and implement SEO for just this project...May be the results which you want to achieve...may not be achieved within the timeframe given by your boss. You should certainly learn and implement some ON-Page SEO when trying to setup your landing page. However, this is something you should certainly keep in your long-term agenda of learning.

    3) You are a good copywriter...and a smart guy....With the point 3 above... you have smartly promoted your product being tried to keep moderators happy. Try to find a better way though...as in this forum..There are much smarter people are there.

    At the end...Keep learning....

  • Hi, This is the most common question of people who engaged in e-business. But of course, it has a solution for that - ask convergent7.com they are the ones who know more about increasing the traffic of the site. Just an opinion!

  • I agree with what people are saying here, your English is actually good! I think a good way to promote your website and it's services would be through the use of social media, like Facebook, Twitter, etc. There are a lot of ways to promote your site actually and even if you are not professional, if you are really eager to learn there are a lot of ways too. I actually turn to Youtube or Google if I don't know how to do this or that to gain more knowledge.
  • For promoting your website you have to use various techniques as follows:
    # Use good SEO techniques as on page and off page techniques.
    # Make use of various social networking sites.
    # Advertise for your website on high page ranked web site.
    # Submit your websites to more than one search engine.
    # Use quality contents only.
  • You need to have a plan for your website before trying to build links. But first pick keywords you want to rank from the Google keyword tool. Than write articles on your site and make sure you include those keywords just once on whatever page you are trying to rank.

    Make sure to include keywords in your Title tags, H1 tags, meta description and keyword tags don't use one keyword more than once.

    Than build backlinks from sites that have strong DA and PA and vary your anchor text use most branded keyword anchor meaning your website name, hopefully isn't an EMD than you will rank if you don't get links from penalized sites
  • Waiiiiiit.... so you're in charge of online marketing? But you don't know what SEO is or how you should approach it properly?

    So there's a new product... and you're in charge of online marketing... but you don't know what step 1 for online marketing?

    Sorry for being harsh but I just don't believe in the story. It's either you know somebody there REALLY GOOD for letting you have that position or this is just a make-up story to get free custom information rather than the rehashed content shared in the SEO section.

    • Thank you for your comment.
      1. I'm not IN CHARGE of IM, I'm just INVOLVED in IM, I do a lot other assisting work around the office;
      I'm not the ONLY person who's going through ALL IM work in my company;

      2. I wasn't initially hired as IM staff, it's just a field my boss expects me to explore and I'm ready to LEARN;

      3. The site I mentioned in my post is still under development, as the first product of an upcoming series(non-profit, brand-enhancing purpose), I was supposed to make a few good-quality posts about it so that the name could be spread, which I did, but both my boss and I think I need better understanding of certain professional knowledge before going on, which is what I've been doing for now;

      4. I posted this thread QUITE a while ago when I was really at a lost and found this forum especially helpful, so I reached out to people for guidance and suggestions, honestly stating my situation. It's not an URGENT request, but people keep replying, for which I appreciate, and since I promised to check up on this post, like I mentioned in it, I keep replying to helping people as well, so that might be the reason you noticed my post in the top and somehow found it a bit annoying or "untrustworthy".

      5. My company is a small-sized one mainly doing software-outsourcing service for profit, so IM does matter and needs to be emphasized but it's not a life-or-death issue around here. We have our reputation and established client base;
      So NO, I did not make this up, and NO, I do not have to know someone here "really well" to get this job, I got this job mainly due to other shown abilities other than IM skills, and my past experiences counted I suppose.

      I hope this clarifies a little.
      Have a nice day.
