  • Hello Allen,

I have to say that I do backlinks sometimes, but it's kind of hit or miss. I can't always decide if it's worth spending the time on. or not. What's your opinion?
  • Hey Allen,

I was very shocked at you only having the maximum at 10. Simply because such tools as bookmarking demon and Mike's RSS Bot will get you 100's of backlinks on semi-auto in just a few minutes and i tend to do that for all my articles all the time.

Then i would check their rankings for their keyphrases and see if i needed to get anymore or not (normally then i opt for high PR backlinks).

However sometimes i must admit if i notice the article is not ranking well at all after social bookmarking it and submitting my authors rss feed then i often just leave it then. Sometimes i spend the extra time and get a load of good backlinks after but often i just move onto the next keyphrase and article and continue on.

    • Sorry for double posting, but I believe more than 10 already covers everything.

When you say more than 1, you are simply saying can not be one. Could be 100 could be a million.

      Just my $0.02
  • I built about 29 links to a particular article and I have got 400 views in 5 days. The article is now number 1 position 9 ( got to work harder right?) in google.
  • Allen, I used to get backlinks from high PR blogs..... Normally I used to get about 8 links, That will help me to be on 1st page on google....

    • I used to get a few for each article, but I always had that nagging feeling that I'd be better gaining backlinks to something I own and can control - ie one of my sites - which is what I do now.

So I just post my articles up and let them sink or swim themselves. Occasionally might create a few links to articles or hubs that are performing well.

      Neil
