What you need to do is find some keywords that have a little low competition and there aren't some pro seo dudes already ranking solidly for and grab traffic that way and build a following of your audience using social media. To rank for the keyword, do some link-building by posting in comments on other blogs, forums or wherever, just use your imagination.

I had a quick look at your blog and the articles you have written, they are so generic everyone and their mother has written about it, i mean just google "How to Get Google Adsense Quickly" and notice the results it will take a lot of high quality backlinks to beat those guys and since you are asking the question why can't you rank to begin with, i doubt you have those links at your disposal.

So choose some long tails keywords with decent traffic, find some keywords that are untapped and try to rank for that. Once you get some traffic flowing, you will get some links naturally and then you can go for medium competition keywords.

If you ask me though, everyone is blogging these days and some of them are even professional seo guys so it takes some real dedication to get some sort of success.
