hi
i need to ask this simple question about creating content for affiliate sites. As most of the Amazon products which are low competition are really strange and i need to write reviews and a lot of content for each product. i don't know how to find sources for it.

for example "Stanley 47-400 Magnetic Stud Finder" how will u create 5000 words of content for this keyword?
please share your strategy.

  • Why would you write a 5,000 word review for a product that sells for $4 and gets no searches. You'll be getting around $0.20-$0.25 commission per sale.. That's ridiculous..

    • i just give it as an example! if i make a niche site then i need a lot of content on it related to this product which i have never used. so how i write articles about it?

  • Stop looking at it from the sales copy and content side and look at it from the user side. If you were looking for that particular item and wanted to find information on it, what would be the information that you want that you can't find anywhere else. Don't just put basic info that can be found on Amazon or a spec sheet, talk about it's actual uses in the real world, how it would make someone's life easier'/better, alternative uses that haven't been thought of yet.

If you're just looking to rank for keywords and provide no real information, why would Google display your page in search and why would anyone stick around to read what you have to say and bother to click YOUR link to buy it over going directly to a bigger retailer?

But do some research on what you think people WANT to know (looking at the reviews and questions section of Amazon should tell you what people wanted to know that isn't in Amazon description). Think real hard on if this is a product that even warrants such a thing and is worth trying to create content for.

For items like the one mentioned (even though it's not your keyword) -- is anyone search for THAT particular item because they need more information on it? Or is it such a known item, at least in circles that would be buyers for the item, that direct product information is already known or the Amazon description is already detailed enough that there's not much to add.

If so, maybe looking at creating a comparison page and contrast 2-5 similar items and put all their specs in a table in one spot like Amazon is now doing so the user can see multiple items that would otherwise not have the need for a whole lot of content.

Stop wasting your time with junk articles & build a sales page.
  • If you can write anything other than reviews, perhaps something related to the product that buyers may find valuable, it may take you less time and effort to come up with a good content. Also if you're trying to promote Amazon, my suggestion is that you build a sales page or landing page for that product and advertise on Adwords or FB. Also, sell only high ticket items to get not just your monetary ROI but your effort and sanity ROI.
