Hi Everyone,

Im new here, and I apologise for making my first post a question.
I have done some reading & searching around, and i am still confused about a few things in regards to Tier 1 Backlinks.

Say I have a website about soccer.
On my soccer website, I sell boots, balls, gloves, shorts, and socks.

Each of the items that I sell has 5 good keywords.

Boots = soccer boots - footwear - football shoes - nike soccer boots - black soccer shoes.
Balls = fifa ball - soccer ball - leather ball - addidas ball - cool soccer ball
Gloves = soccer gloves - gloves - leather gloves - keeper gloves - nike gloves

ETC - ETC -ETC...

When I write my FIRST Tier 1 article, should I:

Use the word "boots" & anchor text it to my main URL or the Product page URL? (1st article)

How many times should I anchor text the word "boots" in the 1st article?

Should I anchor text "boots" once, "footwear" once "football shoes" once "nike soocer boots" once & "black soccer shoes" once ...??? (1st article)

AND... should all my soccer boot back links all point to the same URL?

Not sure how to spread this all out & how to get started...

Would really appreciate some help.

Thanks.

Oh boy, its going to be tough because the keywords you are using are very high competition.

But anyway, you should use your main keyword that you want to rank for only once. Then use branded/variations of the keyword and Naked URLs.

Your best bet is to aim for long tail keywords since competition there would be easy

    Thank you mkgg.
LOL... Soccer was just an example. I wouldn't have a chance ranking for that niche as im a noob to this.

Are you able to clarify & help me with the other questions?

    Thanks again.

It depends what you're targeting. Are you actually selling products online? If so, build a brand, like Amazon or eBay - it's better for a long-term business.

Build links to categories/product pages. Market your business as a brand and focus on brand awareness and brand recognition. Invest every penny you make into social media advertising, pay-per-click, marketing campaigns etc.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!
