Could someone please explain why on earth the Google KW Planner is giving me mixed information?

    Hey

Google keyword Planner is confusing because Google changed it to primarily be for those who want to run Google AdWords campaigns.

I highly suggest that you try the Jaaxy Keyword Tool. It's the best and most accurate keyword tool on the market.

There is a membership but they let you test drive it with 30 free searches before you decide to pay so that you can really see how powerful it is.

    Hope this helps you out!

You are confusing your chosen product or service, with keywords.

Add this to the fact that warrior forum is neither a product or service in the true
      sense of the word.

Seriously? You really think after seeing that picture that my niche is "warrior forum".
        C'mon...
Try it with "Oranges" "baseball gloves" "memory cards", whatever keyword you like,
You'll still see that the Keyword number at the top (Big Blue Graph) is totally different to the search result Keywords underneath it.
And this is what I'm trying to understand... Why are there 2 different results.

          I told you why. Seriously.

You are confusing product with keyword. Simple, actually.

So there's 1,000,000 (made up) monthly searches for the product: Flowers.

Now ask yourself. What keywords are they using? If you think it's just flowers, that
          is where your confusion starts.

Flowers are the product or service. NOT the keywords people are using to search for
          that product or service.

Flowers may well be a keyword listed by itself. And that again, is where your confusion
starts. 1,000,000 searches for the product/service flowers.

          50,000 flowers.
          25,000 spring flowers
          10,000 flowers for june weddings
          5,000 easy growing flowers
          4,000 floral boquets
and so on and so on for this easy, simple, made up example.

But gee whiz, you said there were 1,000,000 searches for flowers!
