Four word phrases
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I just dug up a keyword with 2900 searches per month with weak competition and CPC is close to 2.00.

My question is that the phrase is 4 words long and ezinearticles does not except anchor text with four word phrases. Do you guys know if the other directories have the same rules before I go after this?

thanks,

The domain name using your keywords is critical. A important part of the keywords is using a company name. If we can't use the company name in the url, how are most people getting around not using the company name but still staying focused on the keyword.

Example: If I want to focus on "Norelco Hair Curlers" as my keyword, is using just haircurlersreview.com my best choice? Is that a strong enough keyword url to rank for Norelco Hair Curlers if I do all of the other onpage and offpage seo?

Thanks for the help
What's to be confused about? You have lots of choices.

I use brand names, even though I may get the site pulled.

And because I'm having so much success with exact keywords in
my domains, I personally skip on the types of domains you are
referring to.

But that can work too. All types of domain names can work. Most
of the highest ranking sites don't even have the searched-for
keywords in them.

This thread is not about "My way is the only way." Rather, it's just
the way I'm running my own publishing business.

So don't get caught up in any dogma. Test, experiment...

Hey john

Want to thankyou again for your help. Ive stated before how I am now making 3-6 dollars daily with only 3 sites.

I have a question though, maybe someone could help me with this as I posted a thread but admin closed it :-(

Using xsite pro do you advise submitting a sitemap?

If not, what tips have you got in getting site indexed, as in the whole site?

I have thses 3 sites indexed but my inner pages arent, and i know i could make more money if all inner pages weere indexed too. What would you advise? have you found that you need to submit your sitemap??

John, just wanted to throw in a quick "thank you" for all the insight you've shared. I can literally "picture" the Adsense template in my head and I can understand why it would be effective.

I'm also very impressed with the way you've managed to politely moderate this thread and keep it on target and more importantly, motivate people to read the thread for answers instead of simply reposting duplicate queries.

"Seek and 'ye shall find" works.

Good stuff.

I just started using HQ as well, as in keywordHQ - HQ short for headquarters.
I've stopped using review or reviews since with Google cracking down on review affiliate sites, maybe they'll look extra hard at those names?

I like the idea of "help", "info", "news" - haven't use those yet.

From the SEO perspective, I think any 6 or less character phrase added to the keyword works.

Don't claim to kn ow what I'm doing, but it's working . . .

I found a really green keyword (with a brand name in the phrase), but kinda wondered why it was green when the first 2 positions are taken up by the brand's site (with PR8!) and the first one's got the phrase in its title. Yet, my research says little competition.

When using spyfu.com - do you use the data from the 'clicks/day' or 'cost/day' section?
If the clicks/day or cost/day is 'N/A' in spyfu.com for a keyword, would you still use the keyword if all the results in MicroNicheFinder had the keyword with high search/low competition/good SOC <20?
In other words, how valid is the 'clicks/day' or 'cost/day' section and do we need to focus on these numbers?

Thanks

Yup, ebay shut down any site that had a brand name in the url (like lexmarkprintersforsale.com).

I would expect Adsense and Amazon to do the same thing fairly soon. Really, I can't believe they ever aloud it.

Out of my 14 sites, 7 are on the first page.

ALL my exact keyword .com's , org's and net's got the first page instantly (these were all 3 word phrases).

Some of my domains with store, now, online made the first page but took some backlinking work.

None of my dash-keyword domains have ranked well. There was about 3 of these, so I won't be purchasing anymore.

Another thing to note is none of my sites that were targeting 4 word phrases ranked well at all even though they were the exact phrase. I am not sure why but i had 4 of them and none have ranked well at all.

My advice is to only buy domains with 3 words that are the exact keyword. It doesn't matter if its com/net/org they all work. This almost always guarantees you a first page spot with little to no backlinking. The rest take a lot more work and this decreases your chance of losing money and wasting more time.

Anyways I hope this helps some people decide when buying there domains.

Interesting.

It may still be too early, but I have a domain that is about 2 weeks old now. Has hyphens, 3 keyword phrase. Yahoo, it is sitting in the #5 spot (was #3 at first) with about 4 backlinks. Non hyphenated domain is in the first spot. But it is still nowhere to be seen in Google.

Wonder if the hyphens could be part of it...or just not enough time.

Yes, the eBook has arrived. And it is 94 pages!! Based on size alone, it is a master work, and based on all of John's posts, I fully expect it to be extremely well written and thorough.

Thanks, John...

Thanks, John, got my copy of the ebook.

All I can say is it's awesome reading - no doubt worth the wait.

I have only read the first 30 pages but I am certain it's going to be a great source of information about building one's Adsense business. The ebook is straightforward, written in a clear yet comprehensive manner, and your writing style is, to say the least, great.

Rock on, man! And thanks for sharing so much!

Read it, loved it, now to take action!
I'm already seeing some success, and time to crank it up.

First step, work on my Web site layouts - should have already done this based on all the info on this thread of course, and write/submit a few articles starting today. Ok, tomorrow, it's my birthday today, and I've already done a couple.

When I was subscribing on Adsense Masters Course there was an option for deciding my own User ID and password.
This was done when I first went http://www.adsensemasterscourse.com/ and signed up.
After this I got an confirmation email including my login info.

If you had read ANY pages in this thread then you would have know full good and well that this can happen. I can't believe you would come to a thread titled "$300 Daily w/Adsense" and ask whether or not it can really happen. Not trying to be mean, but c'mon...read the thread and then put it into action. You'll be amazed at what happens.

This was done when I first went Adsense Masters Course - Adsense Masters Course and signed up.
After this I got an confirmation email including my login info.
I think that is where the problem is. I never signed up through the sales letter. I believe I just sent the money via PayPal and that was all I did. I sent John an email this morning, but have not gotten a response yet.

Hey Guys,

Little tip for you. Try and stay away from the "blog look" - My conversions were a lot higher without it

Would there be themes that you would prefer or suggest?

In other words, how valid is the 'clicks/day' or 'cost/day' section and do we need to focus on these numbers?

Thanks

Yes most of the time I will go ahead with the niche keyword, because
Adsense will still serve up related ads.

For example, if the keyword is "flat iron fans" but there is no data in
Spyfu, Adsense will still serve up ads for iron fans, flat fans, or just
plain fans, etc.

So you will still get clicks, maybe not as many, but it's still usually worth
pursuing.

As I always say... make these decisions at your own due diligence.

I do use these domains, but I always keep in mind the risks of losing
the site.

Come on Rich, you gotta read the thread buddy...

But yes, as mentioned several times, my adsense block sits on top.

People like you make the WF a one-of-a-kind place on the web.
Thank you.

And I hope this puts an end to all of the accusations of me
just kicking back, taking money, and not working on this thing.

This is the best course I have bought/read on adsense .

John explains in detail step by step what you need to do and even includes an action plan. The screenshots are very helpful too since sometimes you need to see something to understand it.

It is written in laymen's terms so it's easy to understand which is especially helpful to those new to adsense but has enough good information that an adsense pro will learn something too.

Thank you John for such an outstanding course, it was well worth the wait and as for the price - it is worth far more than what you charged.
