OK here is the deal!

I have been running searches daily on google and Bing on a key search phrase regarding Bing.com, the new microsoft search engine. This is the search term. "Bing Search Engine" On some days I got 837,000 searches a month on Google. Just 2 days ago I got $1,350,000 searches but today I got this Results 1 - 10 of about 532,000 for "Bing-Search-Engine". (0.14 seconds) and this without dashes... Results 1 - 10 of about 522,000 for "Bing Search Engine". (0.13 seconds) . I was under the impression that Google did not see the dashes when searched this way however when there is ONLY one dash between search and engine the numbers get real high like this Results 1 - 10 of about 1,720,000 for "Bing Search-Engine". (0.12 seconds) .

Question: Why do the numbers change so much on google day to day or did I miss something?

Bing.com has this search as this 1-10 of 6,010,000 results under this search "bing search engine".

Just cureous what is the best way to get the best results of this search here "bing search engine" per month on Google and if my Bing search results are targeted to this phrase or if it is giving me stats for the word bing alone?

Cheers,

Yeah, should have pulled that on this topic however, this is was the reason I am asking this question. I would like to SEO this site and am wondering what kind of traffic this phrase is really getting and why so much diversity in the numbers daily?

The spikes are a result of offline news media. They are running mass campaigns everywhere.

Today is a holiday...more people are celebrating fathers day rather than searching on the net. It'll get back to normal...it's all in the cycle.
