Help to ping a link

HI there,

I am little confused about the ping thing.

I want to know what link should I ping?

Like suppose, I want to indexed my back-link through ping service.

And I get a link from Wikipedia page.

Then which link should I ping?

Is it My domain page Or Wikipedia page?

Please help me with that.

  • There's no need to ping your link(s) unless they are rubbish. If they are good enough, Google will find/crawl them within few days.

    • Well you can also submit your link on google webmaster tools and let it fetch your link so google can index it faster.

  • Ping means to let SEs know that there is some change on that specific page. In your case, it should be the Wiki page.
