Best Traffic To Your Website

Hello All,

I've been out of the blogging game for a while now and have decided to start back up. I have a quality website with about 10 quality articles of about 1000 words each, and I am interested in driving traffic to it.

My overall goal is for my website to move up in the Google ranks for my keywords so I can get some organic traffic.

1) I've seen sites out there where if you follow their sites they will follow your site. Does this work?

2) I've heard of Amazon Mechanical Turk and that people will view your site for a few pennies. Does this work?

The reason I'm asking this is I know the Google game has changed over the years. For example, now they will penalize you for "spamming" links to your website.

What works these days?

Thanks

Off page activities are best to generate traffic on the site like SMO, bookmarking, article submission, blog commenting, press release, blogging, video sharing, ppt sharing etc. All these activities will help to increase traffic on the website.

For getting traffic to your website, I think SEO is the best techniques.SEO include both on the page as well as off page optimization of any website, and both are important for any website. You can also use social networking sites for getting traffic and ranking on search engine.

Both of the ways you have mentioned are no good. These are traffic exchange methods but they will not convert. Yeah, you'll see ticks in Analytics but most likely that you'll not get any sell.

So, the best traffic to your site would be the kind of traffic that will CONVERT.

You can try to rank for your target keywords, find related forums and try to funnel some traffic from those sources. Thus, you can get quality traffic to your site.

Social media optimization is best option for generating traffic because now a days lots of people using social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Digg, Delicious. Create your profile or company profile and update regularly.

  • Try adding your main keyword in the Title tags and couple of times in the Meta description. Publish the pages on Social media and specifically on G+. Its a great source to get a good PR as Google gives the priority to its database first and then the other sources. StumpleUpon is another great source to generate traffic. Try submitting your website url with accurate keywords and description to various submission directories, it takes time but it is highly effective.

Providing interesting and informative information on your website will give visitors a reason to seek you out in the future. Also, fresh content gives new opportunities for Google to find you. Post blog entries, write studies and white papers, show some industry statistics - give them the good stuff! If they have a reason to visit, they will.

The length of your content or it's originality doesn't mean you will have the most traffic.

It doesn't work that way at all.

The best source of traffic still remain direct and indirect source and MUST be targeted.

The best way to get targeted traffic if building your own traffic producing website. Like you were blogging at first but you backed out. You can get all your traffic from the first page of Google, Bing, and Yahoo from a given keyword. It takes a little time for a new site to start ranking on the first and getting instantly indexed. If you are looking for organic traffic, it is best to blog on traffic producing keywords but stay away from high competition keywords until you know what you are doing. If you need anything, let me know. I hope this helps.

    1. Oh please don't even think about this. Unless the other site is a very high PR authentic site and very niche-relevant, you will get slapped for link-exchanges. Google frowns upon this type of practice and its very easy to detect. You want to get one way backlinks, you should only do link-exchanges with sites that are closely related to yours.

    2. I have no idea about that site but even if the people are real, you can't expect much or any conversions at all or the traffic to do anything at all.

If you're willing to spend money, spend it on adwords instead of traffic exchange sites. You will get better targeted traffic and build an audience this way

I haven't seen any site where you specifically view one user's website and he views yours..

But, there are a lot of traffic exchange websites like easyhits4u and trafficexchanger that uses ratio system. You get the same number of traffic you view..

But the best one is traffup. You get genuine users without the issue of exchange ratio.. Plus, you have other options too.. twitter followers, retweets, favorites and facebook likes.

Likely not. The kind of users you want to follow you only follow if they want to. It's just us IMers who autofollow back in any service or tool. We're likely to go after the next shiny object, but the crowd is fairly small.

Commenting and contributing to someone's site is a much better way to get their attention, but there's no guarantee that they find your site worthwhile.

Yes, of course. But you're hiring them to visit a site for no particular reason, which is why I have no idea what you think you're going to get out of it. They're not going to help SEO, and they're not going to buy from you. I guess it works if you're faking stats for a client or manager, and if you don't mind being unethical.

I would say that good regular quality content creation is by far the best way to drive targeted traffic to your website. It takes afford and time. Time is something most Internet Marketers don't seem to have. Most WSO's promises you fast results because that's what we want to hear don't we? So they give us what we want: empty promises. Don't fall for that!

Do you know what really brings good amounts of traffic?

    BLOOD, SWEAT and TEARS!

It's just a job. You have to work to get anything out of it.

    Simple right?

Besides building quality traffic you have to make sure you optimize on and off page SEO, like need to getting natural (looking) back links and you really must be active on the most important Social Media websites.

    An other thing that helps:

    Patience!

    That's all folks! ;-)
