Should I have either one of them?

I am currently using two SEO plugins, of course, being ignorant about them. First I installed "Add Meta Tags" and later I got "Yoast". Now the problem is that it is creating confusion as there are duplicate meta descriptions and keywords.
I ran an analysis to find this out. The analysis is reading the older description - not that by Yoast. I want to continue with the latter.
So should I just keep one of them and deactivate the other? Will it have any bad impact on the site if "Add Meta Tags" is associated with anything else? Please help me.

Yes, you should use only one plugin, also stop manually adding meta description to the pages if you are using plugin.

Yes, now I am using only one plugin and the error no longer shows. Actually I had just deactivated the other plugin and kept Yoast on.
But I guess, it is important to add meta description for each article separately, because the targeted keywords are different each time. Please correct me if I am wrong.
