These stats are from a site that was registered on 30th Jan 2014 and they have like 1073 backlinks, with only 26 posts and getting 12,000 daily views.

- If the domain age matters, how did this site hit 12k daily?
- if they are using blackhat seo techniques; why aren't they penalized?
- And lastly, how did they get 1000+ backlinks?

What does domain age have to do with anything? You don't think you can build a site that
    catches on in a heartbeat?

Why would you think black hat gets penalized? There's stuff that works, stuff that does
not. Black hat, the name, makes no sense. They are getting 12,000 visitors a day.
They are doing something that works.

You can get 1,000's of links too, in a short time. Work hard, do something viral, etc.

Applaud their success and be determined to do likewise.

    But forget about the myths.

Like paul above said, domain age doesn't mean squat. And 6 month is a long time

How do you know they are using black hat seo. They could be getting legitimate natural links but high quality. Even if they are black hat, if the links are high quality it will take a long time if ever for google to catch them. In fact, how do you know they are doing seo at all, it could be they build something awesome that is naturally getting so popular, 28 domains is nothing actually, some of them could be from domain stats sites.

Lastly, How the hell we can answer that ? You haven't even provided the domain for us to look. My guess is they sold their kidneys for those backlinks but thats just me.

    It's 28 domains, what's the big deal?

I bet that site is ranking because it is targeting keywords with low competition.

    1) Domain age doesn't matter, however domain authority does.
    2) They might not be penalized right now but let's see what happens when google releases a new algo update.
    3) Easy, they either used seo spam tools or they bought the links.

Thank you all for your responses. It has given me a good understanding - i did some research and found out that they are using a PBN all in the related niche to rank themselves.

yah i agree with all above post. domain age domain name matters

    BUT if you have,

    Something different.
    Something unique.
    Something works.

you can get this traffic with no big deal

Maybe they are in some movie or quotes niche that get a ton of searches per keyword.

Other possibilities are that you have no clue about how many links they really have, they could have links from 100's of domains that all block crawling services like Ahrefs, Majestic, etc.

Again another option are 301 redirects that are hidden from crawling services.

well, what I think they have done is they have created something which has gone viral ! and tell you what this is what we call the power of content ! But I would really like to know what they have actually done getting 12,000 users a day means they must be having something that we don't have !

Many people pay to get back links and daily views, what you should look at is their Google page rank, that would truly determine the quality of the website.
