So is it safe to say there will be no big changes for the rest of the year with Google??

(haven't seen any threads on this so....)

Since by now Matt Cutts is out the door for a few months

2014 July

and he really didn't even try to introduce a number two guy taking over in his absence (as a public face) I'm getting the impression that we will see no huge changes with Google for the rest of the year (or at least until November but it would be cruel to mess with rankings near to Christmas).

I don't mean any Penguin updates or Panda but you know game changers.

Time to try some churn and burn if you haven't already? Since the game is not likely to completely change in the next few months

I can't see Google having any huge change coming and not having a public face to deal with things especially since Cutts is planning to not check in at all.

Heck no. Google is currently testing something. Its apparent in the serps. Something is coming.

I have also heard rumors about a possible algorithm change targeting manipulative headlines written to manipulate/generate organic clicks in the SERP.

In any case, tweaking algorithm for continual improvement is the core activity of any search engine including Google - and will continue.

Uh... isn't the whole point of having a page title to increase CTR?

        Anyway...

Matt is at home bulking up for the next round of slap downs (watch out for the headlock (0:16)).

I have learned that NOTHING is ever safe to say when it comes to Google. LOL

You just can't predict what will ever happen, so for me, I always do everything with people in mind FIRST, and not Google, because ultimately, Google wants to deliver the most relevant content to people searching, atleast that's what they say

So I don't worry about all the updates, I just keep on pushing out great content.....

          People do appreciate that.

          Google, bring it on......

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a forced leave of absence, maybe to get someone else in his position?

We will see new updates in 2014 without a doubt.

I don't care what any of you say. The cats away so its time to try churn and burn

(thats right I am a grey hat boy - never done any of that short term stuff. To concerned about burning up my networks)

I think there won't be any big changes whatsoever for the next year or so.

Panda has been most dominant this year and there was always a way around it one way or the other and it seems it has reached it's plateua.

Penguin seems to have reached it's max as well so I don't expect much on that front until there is some new break through in CPU speed.

When I look at what happened the last years they sure made it a lot tougher / more expensive for starters but nowhere near impossible.

If Google really wants to get rid of spam and the like they need to take much more drastic measures like hugely expanding their manual reviewers team but that costs money, for the rest we're just dealing with a bot that can be gamed relatively easy.

Googles definitely testing something. Just look at what happened around the 29th-30th. That isnt "nothing"

There testing a new algorithm in some of the big niches. Somethings coming, just cuz Matt Cutts is gone doesn't mean his team is gonna sit their and do nothing.
