How much for SEO on a wordpress site?

How much would it usually cost to do SEO on a wordpress site? and does the kind of site make a difference to the cost? like would a video website cost more than a dating website and so on? Where's a good place to find a SEO expert? on here? or somewhere like eLance?

    Thats a broad question. No one can answer that without more info.

    Yes. Parasite seo is alot cheaper.

    As to where to find them you can find some in the warrior for hire section. Just try to stay away from all the fivver like seo services on there.

      Thanks, I've got a small amount (maybe $200) to put into SEO for a few websites Im setting up, but like you say I would want someone who's an expert in it

    It depends on a few factors.

    For example, if you want to rank on a primary keyword in a competitive niche it may be $5.000.000.

    If you want to rank on some long tail keywords in a smaller niche, it may be $200.

    The first question you must ask yourself when doing SEO is "what do I want to rank for?".

    And yes, stay away from Fiverr for this.

      Is it possible to find out how much it will cost to rank on google page 1 for a certain keyword phrase? is that what google keyword planner is all about? or that's something an expert in SEO needs to tell you?
