google page rank update

I noticed a google page rank update today.
I had a site go from page rank 2 to 3 and a site go from page rank 0 to page rank 1 - the funny thing about the site that went from 0 to PR1 only got registered 2 weeks ago.

Has anyone else noticed a page rank update?

  • My sites' PR remained the same.
  • I have had page rank changes happen without rhime or reason. I went from 0 to 3 over night. Then, a few months later hit 4 an cannot understand why.

    It is my understanding that page rank really does not matter. It might make you feel better about your efforts - but that is about it. Traffic is waht matters. Don't focus on page rank - but use Google Analytics and watch your traffic - where it comes from, how long it stays, and what it clicks on.
  • mine still remains the same. Maybe i don't have enough backlinks yet.
  • I haven't seen any of my sites change, but there certainly appears to be an update in progress. Very strange timing given that the last update just came at the end of May!

    • You might be right because I just noticed one of my sites jump from PR1 to PR2. If there really is a PR update I find it very odd considering there was one very recently.
  • Just checked mine and one did in fact go from 0 to 1! YAY!

    • yeh theres definitely been a page rank update. Its very odd as I thought it happens once every 3 months. looks like google is keeping things up to date on a more frequent bases.

      anyway congrats to all who have seen an increase and all that haven't then page rank dont mean a thing really. It does however put a small smile on your face knowing your doing something right
  • For sure google updated it's PR and not today but it was yesterday
    One of my site got a PR 3 from PR 0 as i started the site last month and google just updated the PR after 3 days so i was kinda sad and praying for the update and i am happy with the update now

  • I went from PR4 to PR3 last month. I thought I will get back my PR4 but still the same - PR3 but luckily it does not affect my SERPS as my main keywords still ranked 6 to 9 on google.

  • Yeah.. Even one of friend's site PR has been increased from PR=0 to PR=2 and the most surprising thing is that the website is launced just before 20 days..

    Its quite funny.. but to understand Google and its algorithm is quite tricky..
  • Well, PR remains the same for 3 sites of mine as well as one of my blogger.com blog has got PR2 from PR0..... That is great
    I think google is updating PR within short time.... It is cool, Isn't it?

    • This is the second PR update inside a month, which is quick for Google. I had a mixed bag of ups and downs but nothing to write home about. Funny, I did see some brand new hub pages I made less than 2 weeks ago get PR2's - no linking ro anything, so I don't know whatr that's all about.

      Maybe the PhD's at Google had a wild party and someone got drunk and hit the "Update" button by mistake LMAO!

  • mine went down from 5 - 4 but im not too worried about it considering most people outside of the "SEO World" have no clue what PR even is.
