Hi Warriors,

In my Google webmaster tools account Keywords position was showing as

Medical Billing - 4

Medical Billing Company - 1.

But If you search those 2 keywords in Google.com or Google.co.in my website no where in Google.

Can i know what may be the reason??

That's not your ranking position...WMT doesn't show you the KW positions...

You probably got 4 visitors via the keyword Medical Billing
and 1 from Medical Billing Company

        Hi reddy183,

WMT is showing you the average position of your webpage listing for search queries that clicked on your listing. While it is true that your webpage does not normally show ranked at those positions, Google has for many years used a feature called Personalized Search.

Each person's search results are unique to that person based on a number of factors, including previous search history. So if you searched for your website name and clicked on it, then you search a generic keyword, it is likely to rank your most relevant webpage higher in your personalized search results.

Of course most people will not see your page listed in search, but people that have recently clicked on your webpage from a previous search are more likely to see your webpage listed.

Yes it shows avg. position. Let me give an example, if GWT shows Pandora Beads avg. ranking 5 then it is not the exact ranking of Pandora beads but it is avg. position of all relavent matches like Pandora bead, beads Pandora, keywords with adjectives like cheap Pandora beads etc. It checks the ranking of all variants and then takes the avg. of it and shows.

        Hi altonroot,

I beg to differ with your assertion of "it is avg. position of all relavent matches. It is not "all" matches, it doesn't check "the ranking of all variants and then takes the avg. of it and shows".

What it does show is the average position in the "personalized" search results of "just" those searches where a user clicked on your listing.

That's the average ranking of your site for those keywords, not the current rank. To know your current rankings, use rank checkers like Serpbook and Micro Site Masters. Keyword ranking reports in GWT aren't reliable because rankings fluctuate all the time.

    Hey reddy,
This is true thing, but you are taking wrong to google. This is only average position where your keyword were ranking. Sometimes you will get exact ranking but this won't be always.

I would say ignore that average feature of GWT. As it will only bring sadness in the end. If you know what I mean. But do checking the search queries as you would write more about the things for which your site get more traffic.

Yep, much better off using a paid rank tracker like serpbook or serpfox. Those metrics shown on GWT are not your current rankings as mentioned in previous posts.

there's a good chance that local results are showing you in position 1-4 and then reporting back to GWT that you're ranking for that term on a broad or national level. Use adwords ad preview tool and set the location to where your business is to see if this is the case.
