How to rank a carpet cleaning Company?

Hi Fellow Warriors,

I work for a carpet cleaning company and I was wanting to get suggestions on how to get it ranked in Google. I wan to try and get it to #1.

What would you do? All suggestions are appreciated.

    There's nothing special you need to do just because it's a carpet cleaning company (except maybe submit it to the Local results if you haven't already). Otherwise all standard SEO practices apply: make sure your on-page SEO is decent and then build natural looking links and spread the word about your site until you're ranking. Easier said than done, I know

    If you are looking to do it yourself, a few PBN links should do the trick. You can also try building some web 2.0s and some quality directory links. Assuming you are targeting local results so the competition shouldn't be too high. Going for a Google places listing is a good idea too.

    Carpet Cleaning doesn't matter, but you need to start learning about SEO. Best way to learn is to test SEO methods on websites you don't care about until you know what you are doing.

    It's actually not different from ranking any kind of site.

    Good quality links, high pr, relevance and low obl is just about the most excellent form of ranking any site today...

    Do a detailed competitor analysis in order to see where they are getting the backlinks and put your website link on those websites.

    One more suggestion that I practice for my clients is register a keyword specific domain, create 2-3 static pages and Home page would be like blog feed. Interlink all blog posts targeting your keywords and I am sure you will get improvement in keyword ranking.

    When your pages are optimized then go to Offpage SEO but NEVER think to go black hat to get faster results.

    go for back link building. See that you adopt only the commonly used strategies, you could be penalized if you try to acquire links in any unnatural way. With the next ranking algo from google expected soon. You dont want to try and get links and lots of links. We dont know what is coming.

    Make sure you set up a Google Plus account so you can get the local listings which shows under the third result on the page. This is the easiest way, then you can worry about your website itself ranking after you set this up.
