Hi all,

I'm not new to building backlinks, but I'm trying a new technique for myself that I read in an article online once.

It's about building your backlinks from the inside out. In particular I'm working on my second amazon review site. Each web page is a different product, so they're all optimized for that particular keyword.

To those pages I'm bookmarking, blog backlinking, and etc... After I complete those, then i'll start building links to my home page.

What do you think of this approach? Would it still help my home page and sub pages out? almost like tier building? My keyword rankings seem to be doing well so far with it for those inner pages!

Bookmarking isn't doing anything to rank a page, you could eat a hamburger & get a better ROI.

I assume the blog links are blog comments so your at the mercy of an unknown webmaster, that's basically a 50/50 chance the links might stick. In other words you'll need to monitor those links to prove they stick (long term). I also assume they're followed links with some authority, otherwise they're not helping to rank a page.

It really doesn't matter which pages are first for link building.

All assumptions are right! I had another site I went a little overboard with and these methods didn't help because of links sticking. So I've been more selective, going for low OBL.. so they stick for months instead of days.

also sad to hear bookmarking isn't working =( most are non follow I know

You are doing everything right except for the kind of backlinks you are building. Try building higher quality backlinks (not imperative since you are getting some nice rankings according to you). That said, your approach is a balanced one and will lead to your site having a pretty natural backlink profile.

Would you consider high quality to be actual page rank, or home page rank?

I don't do the whole bulk back link "1009340 backlinks for 5 bucks" stuff.. that doens't even look appetizing lol

Have you found any good edu or .gov blogs to backlink from that are reasonably similar to your own site/blog theme? I'm just wondering what type of blogs you are linking from now. Thanks for your reply.

For this particular site I have not done any edu or gov. These are basic blog comment links..so some links go away, but most stay. I'm only getting maybe 20-30 at a time for those with already high PR just to see what they do for the rankings. They go up and down of course because one minute some are there and the next they are gone.

I had some tumblr blogs done for me too, just to have something contextual. Basic things, and nothing insane. I did a few profile back links too.

Back-linking inner pages or blog where you main products are isn't new.

You can decide to do it anyway you want it.

The only thing i see with this is, you are most likely going to get hit by Google for building worthless links.

Bookmarks and blog links won't take you far, am confident you are not on the top ten (page 1) for any of your keywords using those.

Backlinking to an interior page is a more natural solution and will look less suspicious than backlinking to your home page. There is a simple reason for this. Most times when a blogger gives you a backlink or refers to your site, they will backlink to a specific post, not your home page. That happens when you make a post they like and want to refer others to it. So whenever you can, backlink to interior pages, not just the home page.

Internal linkin is one of the most important on-page factors.

Try to read something about SILO structure, it boost a lot the ranks used propertly. If you have a wordpress there is a plugin for that somwhere, I don`t remember when i found them, probably BHW, but if you wish I could share them for you somewhere.

No plugin is building good site structure, the most it can possibly do is add additional links which isn't going to remove all the irrelevant links on a typical blog/site.

It's like planting pretty flowers at a junkyard, lol, the typical irrelevant links still exist & they're still a mess.

inner page back links are just as important as what you are getting waned from outside the page... make sure your satellite pages all weighing to the main pages that are the "meat" of your site... Google will rank the pages with more internal links higher because Google knows that if you are linking them from inside your site they must be important
